If you have used these on a somewhat heavy car (mine is 3400), what is your experience with them and how abusive are they to your rotors at the track.
I am currently using HP+ and I am thinking of getting the HPS and swapping in the Blues for the track.
After going through two sets of x-drilled one piece rotors (still on the 2nd set) I bought a very expensive set of two piece slotted and I don't want to kill them right away.

You advice and experience is appreciated.
i like hawkes...my car is only 2700lbs but i really work the breaks and have no problems with the blues...they are dusty...and eat rotors pretty quick (1 set per season) but they don't fade out....

Or... you could give the new Williams pads a run. So far after 2 weekends of heavy abuse the WPF1.20's are showing almost no pad or rotor wear and they have incredible traction and bite. And absolutely no fade.

I drive a 3500 lb Camaro and I like the blues. They are predictable, give great initial bite and a reliable pedal feel but they do not release well meaning they drag a bit . They are much better if ducted. Also you do NOT want to run the blues on the same rotors as your other pads. The blues will definitely damage the rotors and when you put your street pads back on they will not fit the multitude of grooves the blues have imparted on your rotors. It is much easier to get cheaper rotors and change them at the track when you change the pads. That way they will be guaranteed to fit and work from lap 1.
BTW I have some new softer compound Williams pad in a box that I haven't tried yet. I'll let you know the results.
