cars are limited to under 10 which you will never see from other lapping days normally consists of 30 and up. Basic instructions are provided.
And it is highly recommended that you attend high performance driving schools.

A "lapping day for beginners" is referred to as a "Track School" or a HPDE ("High Performance Driver's Education") event. :D The one that Somboa posted is a great track for beginners, and the BMW Club also runs great Advanced Driving schools on tracks. http://www.trillium-bmwclub.ca/site/page.jsp?DriverTraining
You won't regret it... But some people who had very bad first lapping days regret not making their first one a school.

Agreed with Slowpoke. Spending $250 on track school/HPDE your first time out is going to be cheaper than paying for lapping only plus the repairs to your car when you go off and hit/break something.
The deadline for our school is midnight tonight as we have to send the list of student names off to Ian for the certificates. Better jump on it now. :)
