VARAC entry list up...no Cat? No M1's?

Well, a decent entry for the vintage weekend, but was concerned when I didn't see the big Cat or the M1's.....

Steve, is the Jag not coming to play this year? I guess Aram and Markus have other plans too.

Well I just checked the forecast for Bowmanville over the weekend, they are calling for scattered showers Friday, Saturday and Sunday! :(

Needless to say we dont play in the rain with her, so this weekend could be a write off. I guess we will check the forecast tmw, if it doesnt change we may pass on the Festival and go to Mid Ohio next weekend with her.

My friend was at the track yesterday and saw the Jag and BMW m1's pull in.

Should be good competition fror the Corvettes.

But they didn't race.... :( It was won by a turbo 944, after the 2 pole sitters ran off in 2 after the rain during the Group 3 race. I didn't see the Jag, unless it was blue.

The CAN-AM race was dominated by the #34 McLaren. He almost lapped the field.

The Group 3 (I think?) race was won by 3 Mini's, after a rain delay.

Didn't get a chance to stay for the rest, unfortunately.

Umm...no its not blue, 4 of the 5 fastest cars didnt go out in the rain. The one that did spun in turn 2 and almost collected the wall. With the history and value of this Jag, racing in the rain is not an option.

As I am sure everyone has already read the Festival was cut short by Dino's tragic accident.
