I know I can't use a harness without a cage/roll bar (it's on order but I wont have time to install it before Mosport.) But I was wondering if it's possible to use just the lap and anti-sub straps without the shoulder harness in conjunction with the OEM seat belt?
Reason being is I'm having trouble staying in my seat through corners and braking and a CG-Lock does not work with my OEM system.

See you all next week!

Why can't you use a five point belt system? I have not specifically checked the rule book, but I have used a five point belt in my daily driver, while on the track. I used the street belts on the street. The main point is to make sure that the shoulder belts do not put the spine in compression. I used the anchor points for the rear seat belts to attach the shoulder belts. Ideally one would like to keep the shoulder belts as short as possible, in my case I had them lengthened. Making sure that all of the attachment points did not bind and were adequately supported. In all cases I used the original seat belt anchor points/with longer & stronger bolts. Yes, the main reason was to stop me from sloshing around the cockpit.

Why can't you use a five point belt system?
Because in the Solosprint rulebook it says to use a 5 point belt at least a roll bar is required. For more technical details read the rulebook. The reason is because in a rollover if the roof partially colapses the body is fully constraint a 5 point harness which will cause significant more head/neck injury compared to a 3 point belt where the body can tilt sideways.

Wearing the lap belt of the harness with the OEM 3 point belt is acceptable.
