The official flyer is now up: http://wosca.com/Event_info/Region-2008-Event-4.htm

$30 entry includes lunch, which will be served inside the air conditioned restaurant on site.

Lunch will be a choice of hotdog or hamburger with a cold pop. It maybe be possible to get substitutions by paying extra at the counter.
Anyone with special meal needs please contact me immediately so that I can make arrangements with the restaurant.

Please note a new addition to our sup-regs this year:
Due to complaints all competitors and spectators are asked to avoid customer parking areas all together. This means using the first (south) entrance to the parking lot from the main drive and staying on the west side of the lot. A sign with the WOSCA logo will be posted by this entrance. Also remember to keep your speed down in the parking lot to maximum of 20km/h. Anyone seen to be speeding in the opinion of the organizer, anywhere on the property will be immediately ejected from the event and property.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
London Beer Fest: the name says it all: http://www.londonbeerfest.ca/ located in the heart of downtown London easy walking distance to most of the cities best bars and restaurants.

Mopar IHRA Canadian Nationals - Grand Bend Motorplex: Jet trucks, top fuel funny cars and dragsters the whole shebang. http://www.grandbendmotorplex.com/08banners/july1808.htm
-Plus Grand Bend has arguably the nicest beach in the area http://www.grandbend.com/ I nice 1 hour drive along the shores of lake Huron to Sarnia.

Enduro 250 - Delaware Speedway: A glorified demolition derby that must be seen to be believed. http://www.delawarespeedway.com/schedule.php 5 minutes from the highway on the way to Sarnia.

Labatt Brewery Tour: Not a Labbat Brewery but the Labatt brewery. John Labat started brewing beer in London in 1847. For tours call: 519-850-TOUR (8687) And if you want some deeper history, a replica of the original log cabin that John Labatt started his brewery in is now located at Fanshawe Pioneer Village: http://www.fanshawepioneervillage.ca/

Not sure about others, but I have never been able to pre-register. The web page shows all the events to pre-reg for, but no links of any kind to select or "click-on" to actually carry out the pre-registration.

Been there done that. I see a list of events when I login and select Pre-Register but nowhere to select or click on event#4 or any other event for that matter. Two others have registered, so it either works for some or they registered via some other method.

Anyway, not to worry. I'll be there, pre-registered or not.

Change of plans unfortunately. A noise that started after the Mosport Solsprint 2 weeks ago is not the clutch as the dealer initially thought but a more serious engine problem (loose rod).

So I can't make this event; good luck in any case. Hopefully the rain holds off.

Turn out wasn't bad considering the weather forecast and it dried up enough for everyone to get at least two clean dry runs. Lots of competition and the Yanks kicked some serious but (nice for it to not just be WOSCA buts for a change).

As has become the norm, WOSCA ran an excellent event, lots of fun and it was great to see a really solid local turnout. Thanks to all at WOSCA.

I think that this is the 4th event with some rain so that's used up and the next few will undoubtedly be dry ... or wet or wet dry. Anyway they will always be fun.
