I videotaped a few of the runs on Sunday and encoded them into DivX for your view pleasure. You'll need the latest DivX Codec (5.x I think). To view them, right click on the link and select the "Save Target As.." option which will save the files to the computer..and then view it.

First off, I wanted the file sizes to be small so the videos are not of the best quality. Secondly, I could not tape all the car's runs so sorry about that.

Right now I have 4 videos:

The Timed Runs
These videos are shot decently and are roughly between 3-5MB in size. The quality is pretty good.
#23 - Miata (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/23_miata_divx.avi)
#25 - Prelude (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/25_prelude_divx.avi)
#31 - Corolla (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/31_corolla_divx.avi)
#33 - Integra Type-R (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/33_integra_divx.avi)

All the Cars in Pit Area
The cars in the pit area (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/the_cars_divx.avi) --> I took this video as soon as I got the event, so I was kinda excited and moving my camera whenver I saw something that caught my eye. So don't expect quality video footage as the camera moves around..from the cars to those Bridgestone Academy cars. Also video quality is low. This file is around 13MB in size.

Random Runs
Random runs by various cars...no continuity (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/random_runs_divx.avi) --> same story as the above video. No real continiouty..just shooting anything I find interesting.

That's all I have for now. Expect a few more videos soon. I hope you guys enjoy them, its my way of giving back I guess..:)

Keith,
You don't have the latest DivX decoder for windows media player.
Do a search on google for the decoder, I can't remember where it is, download it and install, then try playing video again.

Thanks for the video. Is it OK if I use some of this footage in a compilation video?

Yeah go ahead. You might wanna wait though, since I haven't finished yet.

I got some footage of a sirocco, my maxima, and the turbo legacy (what a sweet car...and makes nice sounds...the camera caught the blow off valve's music pretty well).

Marsh: Your the one wiht camera mounted in teh back right? I think I was talking to you about that during the event.

Well, here are the rest of the videos. I've finished encoding them now. I would post it in the thread starter message, but I can't edit it anymore since the time ran out.

Anyway, here they are:
#36 - Firebird (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/36_firebird_divx.avi)
#116 - Maxima (my car with me driving :)) (http://individual.utoronto.ca/anooj/autox/116_maxima_divx.avi)

I ran out of hosting space on my University account. Anyone have any hosting space to hold 3 more videos? Around 20MB in total for those three.

Its unfortunate that I was not able to film the runs of the S2000, Subaru WRX STi, and the Lotus Super Seven. I really wanted a video of that Super 7..such a beautiful car.

Also, if anyone tooks pics of me (and the Maxima) could you please send them to me, or post them up here? Thanks.

Oh and if you guys know the drivers of these cars, be sure to let them know their videos are posted up here.

Enjoy!

Anooj.

Groovy! Thanks very much for the video of my Miata. Damn I'm slow! And that was my FTD run, too.

I think I was the cameraman in your Maxima run, too! Man, it's good to be back in the film industry.:D
