While all those passengers out there may be watching some guys parade around inside some Armco on Sunday, the real drivers will be on a real race track for Event 6 of the Solo 1 Schedule on July 13

We will be running the same configuration as the school ( and event 5) ; that is we will run the periphery in a counter-clockwise direction with the Left kink about 2/3 the way downhill on the West side. Given that we should have some time for lapping late in the day we may well open up that kink to allow runs of the full periphery after the competition is over.

The Schedule is as follows

Registration 7:30--8:45
Open practice lapping 9:00--9:45
Driver's Meeting 9:50---10:05
Morning Competition 10:15--1:00 PM
Lunch / Open lapping 1:00--2:00 NB lunch will not be available
from the Concessions so bring your own
Afternoon Competition 2:00 ---
Open lapping from end of competition until 5:PM to be followed
be a driver's meeting with awards.

Dave,

When you say that lunch will not be available, I take it that you mean that it will not be provided. Can you confirm whether the consession stand will be open?

Caius,

It looks like the concessions will be closed.

it says "NB lunch will not be available from the Concessions so bring your own"

It was closed at the HADA lapping day, so I just drove over to the big track and bought food there.

no full perimeter? Why?

Dave, The group from OMSC involved with organising the school felt that the speed and risk of damage running the full downhill western side of the track was not worth it especially considering many student cars may have stock brakes and street tires. Also we all agreed that the event should be run on the same configuration as the school. In retrospect to run the periphery would likely be best on the Sunday of the BAC wkend.

OTOH there are a number of us who LIKE the downhill high speed braking involved in the full periphery so I hope to run the lapping at the end of the day on Sunday as the full periphery.
