Food for the Mustang. :D

I won't be out at either of the 2 TMP event weekends because of the ridiculous noise restrictions, but I will be out to chew on the Z06 at Shannonville. And I look forward to chasing it down at the Glen... so get caught up on those orders William, you need a break... and a whoopin by a Mustang! :)

I dunno...

A Mustang 5.0 has got to have one of the sexiest sounding V8's on earth. Why not consider fixing it?

Because that would make it less sexy... and I've started to enjoy hearing each atom of fuel combusting. :)

That said... for next year I will have a set of replacement pipes welded to run at the tracks with noise restrictions. I just don't have time to do that in the next 6 weeks.

is the 04' z06 any faster than the original ones?

I've been playing with a supercharged 5.4L the last few weeks...
mmmm
The exhaust will blow pets and small children 15 feet down the street.

Wish I hadn't had to quieten down my car. I'd have put it up against any of you pretenders to the noise throne. ;)

Too late. I'm back under 90 decibels. :( 108 last time it was tested.

On any track like Mosport or the Glen, a Z06 of any description will show plenty of tail light to a 5.0L, all day long. The son-of-Fairmont suspension on 5.0's simply cannot duplicate the track performance of a Z06. Sad but true.

I know you'll give it a good shot though, Chris. Keep harassing those GM and Chevy guys.

No worries... if I can still see him up the straight after a few laps then I'll be doing well.

I know that I'm about 3s off Frank B's 600hp C5, but a Z has better suspension, so 600hp may equal 405hp with Z suspension. Who knows?

That said... starting next year the Stang is getting a much-needed overhaul, and... hello Z06? :D
