I was reviewing the Classification system for my car, and I can't get it to add up.
I have a 1997 Mustang SVT Cobra, with 305HP and a curb weight of 3391 lbs. The rule book gives the 1998 Cobra a Handling Index of 55 (1998 Cobra is the same as 1997 Cobra).
The math: (35.0-(3391/305))/(35.0-6.0)=(35.0-11.1)/29.0
=82.4%
Performance Index=(Weight-to-Horsepower Index x 70%) + (Handling Index) x 30%
=82.4 x 70% + 55 x 30%
=57.7+16.5
=74.2
This should put me in GT2. I was originally classified in GT1 with no modifications.
Did I miss something?
Also, I had blast on the weekend at DDT! R-comps make a world of difference. Thanks to everyone who helped me out with the unscheduled brake pad replacement, especially Dave Barker and Steve Anderson.
