All this talk about the Rolling Stones SARS concert has got me thinking - someone must have looked into using the Downsview location for a Solo2 event before, right?

You could layout a pretty great track with all that space...

Oh yeah, people have been looking at the Downsview base for ages. Unfortunately no luck yet. However, it's been a couple of years and things change so it might not be a bad idea to give it another shot.

U ot T's SAE team has been using it, but airplanes have been landing at the same time. That could get tricky with a large attedance Solo-2.

Well when UofT has events there, its a fairly big turnout. I attended one of their events when the other Universites brought their SAE cars there to compete. I'm sure its possible to host small events there..

Yes. All of their cars have been turbo for a while. If think that was cool you should have heard UTA's 98 turbo 400. I think it was UTA's last turbo car. The sound was amazing. I've been to 3 of the competition now. There are some truly beautiful cars there.
