Well, the Un-Official results from event #5 of the CASC-OR 2003 Mobil 1 Solo II Championship Series sponsored by ActionFront Data Recovery Labs are up along with the run times for everyone.

It definitely was an interesting day and an event that running run groups by class or family would have been beneficial to some competitors. It started sprinkling during the second runs (first runs for some people) and by the third runs the asphalt was damp. By run four, it was raining.

Enjoy (I'm sure that you can find your way there on your own by now but just in case.......Solo Ontario Solo 2 Site (http://www.soloontario.com/solo2/index.htm) got to 2003 Solo 2 Series Results and Event #5)

Its too bad, it was a nice course...but the organization left something to be desired.
I felt bad for Leanne and Ben who got abandoned at their marshaling station and missed runs because of it. The marshalling was definitly unfair as only the first half of the competitors had to marshall, and missed dry runs because of it. I notice on the scores that there was a great difference in the number of runs each competitor got, I didn't run afer my third as there was no point, the course was too slippery to better my time. but I wonder why so many did not get 5 scoring runs. Did everyone bail on their last run?

I missed my 5th run because either I didn't hear the announcement of a 5th or they didn't do it untill the end of the 4th run.I loaded up because it was after 3 and pouring rain at the time of my 4th run(I'm up very early in the run order)-simply assumed it was the end of the day.
Then I heard someone say that the 5th was a go,but buy the time I heard that the car was on the trailer and loaded and the guys in front of me were lining up.
I didn't mind the marsheling stint-but the weather played hell with the competitiors being able to have similar weather, besides that the idea didn't make much sense as even with 5 runs and 10 people per run only 50 out of about 100 had to do their work duties.
Nice course, the back section must've been fun for the guys with some power,my car was just kinda hold it to the floor and cruise to the other end of the lot. After that being able to run what ever line you wanted to try was great, would've been better dry but we can't always get everything we want right.

Oh yeah Wes,I noticed that in the results the guy with the cool little yellow starlet was classed in BSS,the car has a 20V 4ag stuffed in it so it is a Bmod car-mentioned it the organizers after the first run but I guess it was overlooked. His times don't really effect many of the regulars but fair is fair.
