Dear Colleagues,
I am deeply and graciously honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award. I was dumfounded and 'paralysed' last night. It is not often that a recognition comes unannounced like this. I apologise for not making this statement yesterday. A review of a list of past winners with their phenomenal track records of service to our Canadian racing community reveals the enormous distinction of this award.
I thank the selection committe for this award on behalf of every unrecognised volunteer who selflessly shares their time training, marshalling or administering these events on and off the track, making them safe, funfilled and memorable. A special gratitude to my wife and the spouses of fellow racers, for their relentless encouragement and often unrecognised support.
Respectfully,
Mohamed Hussain
