While looking through the pictures it looks like just another car rolling over in the dirt... but then the last picture really makes you feel sorry for him.

The horrible realization that he doesn't have thousands of sponsership dollars to get it fixed :(

We all know the risks involved in what we do. Nobody really expects it to happen to them, but, hey, shit happens. Just a couple of seconds of concentration lapse and that could be any of us.

The important thing about all those pictures is the last one where the driver is sitting on the ground next to his car, probably thinking to himself, "my wife is gonna freak" instead of being hauled away on a stretcher......or worst, a hurst!

Me thinks that a drift day might have kept him from losing it in the first place!;)

Dave,

I've been out of the country more than I've been in due to business travel this year. Add that to ill-advised timing on a house renovation and you get a lost racing season. I sure miss the people, and the track action. I'll have to be smarter with my commitments next year!

Hey, you've got to make a living! I should try that sometime soon :p Have you had much time to break in the new engine? If so, how does it feel compared to the supercharged one?

Dave,

Even a good day at work...

The new engine saw a couple of OT days and some Solo racing in Florida last fall, and it felt great without the blower. Not quite so adrenaline intensive on the straights, but much easier to set up for the corners and to control coming out. I was faster everywhere but Sebring, where the power decrease made a big difference. I think that, except for Mosport big, this will be a better package for our venues.

john,
did you sell the blower? or is it sitting somewhere not being used?

Adam,

I sold it last fall to another Cobra guy. V8s and boost... got something in mind?

yeah... we are going to be doing a V8 swap into a 240sx soon and we are slowly looking for options..the engine will be either a 5.0 or a small block chevy..

Perfect! I'll keep my eyes open for donor parts.
