In 2009 Canadian Race Communications Association (CRCA) Canada’s original marshalling organization, marks its fiftieth year of service to motor sport.
This organization, comprised entirely of volunteers, has left its footprint in motor sports by providing corner marshals (flaggers, communicators and safety responders) at every major Canadian racing event from go-karts to F1 and SuperMoto to Superbikes since it's inception in 1959.
To celebrate its illustrious history CRCA is holding its 50th Anniversary Celebration on April 4th, 2009 at the Holiday Inn, Oshawa. The day’s activities include a Meet and Greet and Archival Hall, cocktails and dinner, followed by a dance. The Emcee for the evening is well-known sports announcer, Pat Gonsalves and the highlight of the evening is a presentation by ASN-FIA Executive member and former race car driver, Paul Cooke.
Tickets are available for current and former members, competitors and their guests at a cost of $35.00 until the registration cut-off date of March 28th, 2009. No tickets will be sold after that date, nor will tickets be sold at the door.
You can download an order form online at www.crca1.com/id32.html (http://www.crca1.com/id32.html)

Hi Marty,

I will pass this message along to my mother ( Sylvia Freeland Evans ) and my uncle ( Graham Freeland ) both of whom were members in the early 1960's. I will be unable to attend due to school committments. Also, I believe my Grandmother may have been a CRCA member ( Jenny Freeland ). If she's on your list, you can mark her as deceased as of 1989, when she died of a heart attack at the age of 80.

Congrats on 50 years, and here's wishing 50 more for all of you :)
