I believe to qualify for the Pro Solo, you only need to have 3 Solo 2 events under your belt.

its a different type of solo motorsports...

some think its the best one...

you might not place well... but its tons of fun!!

you get the butterflies, staging... rolling up beside the other
driver, as the starter acknowledges you

a good launch, smooth shifts, all your skills thrown down on each run.

i'd like to dump the regular solo II pitl series, and make it all PRO-SLALOMS

if you like solo II..... you'll LOVE the pro-slalom format!!!

I've got a newbie question on the Pro-Solo timing. I did some bracket racing when I was a young punk. In bracket racing you run to set your dial-in time and then go head to head with radically different cars with the slower car getting a head start based on the difference in dial-in times. Is this how Pro-Solo works? Can you break out in Pro-Solo?

it would be nice if we had timing equipment to work the pro-slalom style avec bracket events.

to answer your question.. Nope.., it doesn't measure your reaction times, your anything that fancy.

there are 4 classes, plain and simple
(yes you either have a great car or a not so great car for this event.. )

A Class (comprised of a stock and b stock from pitl)

B Class (comprised of A mod, B mod BPlus)

C class (comprised of C, Cplus, Cmod)

D class (open class)

i'll be following up with a more detailed post, on whats going to happen, rules, penalities.. etc...

BASTARD!

He must have something going for him for sure. I don't know what it is, but there always seems to be a gathering of sweet ones hanging around.

Yeah.. Must be the family sedan + baby seat.. Gives and impression of virility.. Acts like pheromones.

LOL

Could be that forbidden fruit thing, but last time I was in his company I acquired strep throat! Then again it could have come from someone else ;)

Next time get off of your knees and use a different orfice.. I hear latex helps prevent the spread of STD's.

It's a good thing this isn't getting off topic!!! :p

It's going to be held at Square One again. Show up early!!! You'll want to have time to walk each course at least 2 or 3 times.

Check your tire pressures after each run! There sometimes isn't enough cool down time in between runs. I had to learn that the hard way :(

I know a lot of people like the "drag racing" beginning of the track, but with an AWD car my clutch is toast after the 3rd of 4th run... are there any plans on making a course that makes a good launch less of a factor in winning?

hmmm 3 weeks away and I'm complaining already!!! :)

HIGHLY unlikely.

Get a new clutch!

even if it didn't have a straight at the begining... you'd still launch hard.

to keep up with tradition... the answer would be no.

a quick section off the start, and the twisty sections at the end

regardless.. i know you'll be there Chris

You get lots of runs. Guaranteed 4 during qualifying, and lots and lots more during eliminations.

Muahahaha...

you're GUARANTEED MIN. 4 runs during qualifying

2 on each side

alternating sides

What you want to do get your best time, so you are one of the top 16 seeds..

after qualifying, we get your fastest time (doesn't matter which side)

and use the qualifying times, for the elimination round.

1 vs 16, 2 vs 15 3 vs 14 etc.....

when the elimination round starts, the driver with the quicker time during qualifying gets LANE CHOICE.

then you line it up, best 2 out of 3

so if you got your game on.. you will get many runs

I'll definately need one after this event. At the last event it took 4 days for my clutch to feel "normal" again. I can't complain too much though, no one MADE me do 6200 RPM clutch dumps!! :)

No that's why he likes rain. If you go and look at all the rain times RWD will suffer large (ask Taylor) and the Beetle still manages to outrun the AWD's.

P.S. You should see this little rain dance he does before every event. I would describe it but I don't want to get him arrested
