this my first time here.
what do i do start in solo2?
is it still posible to try my self this year?

Hi Dobe TT and welcome.

Yes, it is possible for you to start right away. You are lucky to live in the GTA since there are events pretty much every weekend (sometimes on both days too).

Getting started is as simple as showing up at a local event. Let them know you'd like to try it out and that it is your first time. I'm sure you'll receive lots of advice on how everything works, people are very helpful at events. Ask if you can ride with someone before your run and make sure you take a veteran along on your first run too.

The hardest part of Solo2 is learning the course since every day brings a new one! The fun part is driving it. You will learn lots about car control and how to properly "drive" the course and finding the right line.

Click on Solo2 and then on the link that reads "Other Solo2 Club Schedules". This will take you to various club links and you can choose the best venue/club for you. All are great clubs and have great people to help you out.

Btw, it looks like this weekend the PITL (RX-7 Push it to the Limit) Series is on this Sunday, August 17th at the Hershey Centre.

Gotta plug the RX-7 club, they put on great events, very organized, good lot.
And no worries, you needn't have an RX-7 to compete. You'll see all types of cars there and the people are great.

Hi;
I'm a newbie here too and figured I would just add to this thread rather than start a whole new one :o

I did my first ever Auto Slalom this past weekend and had soo much fun that now I can't stop! ;)

Does anyone know what time the Auto Slalom starts in Woodstock on Sunday (Aug. 17.)?

I'm heading out to WOSCA on Sunday with a friend... if you want to join the convoy we meet up at Hwy 10 and Britania (South east corner at Timmy's)

We leave at 9am sharp.

It should be fun with lots of runs with most people at Hershey Centre or Picton Airport.

If my buddy stands me up again I'll see everyone at PITL ;)
