Car Numbers

Hey everyone,

Just to let you all know, the CASC database for available car numbers for SoloSprint (still listed as Solo1) is all up-to-date. If you already have an assigned car number, you can log-in to the Members Only (http://www.casc.on.ca/welcome.php) area of the CASC site, and on the main screen you will see your Club, License, Registered Car(s), and your Registered Car Number. Make sure that the number listed is your correct number. All competitors from the last couple seasons SHOULD still have the same number ;) (but there may be a few discrepancies, and that's what I'd like to find out sooner than later, so we can start the season without any glitches).

If your car number listed is WRONG, let me know.

If you would like to CHANGE your car number, let me know.

If you don't have a number, then request one. That can be done through the Members Only area as well. There is a link down the side panel (only once you're logged in) to "Request Car No." From there, make sure you select "Solo 1" division, and then "Choose a Car Number". The complete list of available car numbers will display, and all you have to do is click on the number you want, and then hit the "Request Car Number" button.

If you don't have access to the CASC system yet, you'll have to take that up with your respective club membership rep ;) (I don't handle your CASC registration).

In the meantime, if you'd like to see which numbers are currently available, I've copied & pasted the list below. If you can't access the CASC site, but would like to request a number from the list, let me know.

Maybe we should start assigning numbers based on over-all finishing position. The OSO could own the number magnets with all the sponsor logos on there (get the sponsorts to cover the magnet cost) and hand them out at the open house or something... :)

That's one way of doing it. Except we'd need too many #1's. The numbering system would be something like:

1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, etc., etc., etc. ;) Darn that 6-way tie for 1st! :o

Just letting folks know, a bunch of numbers have now been taken as of the Open House. If anybody else wants/needs numbers assigned/changed, see the first post in this thread for the updated list.

The RX7 should be running at least 4 events this year with Mark Clyde and I may bring the Cougar out for a couple as well with me driving.
