This is it folks, the last event of the '09 championship and the battle for the lead is still tight!

Maybe we'll see a last lap battle to decide the title...though I doubt we'll get rain ala F1 to mix it up.

Also, the SPDA AGM is taking place at 1:00 the same day at Formula Kartways so you can stick around for the meet and say hi to some SPDA'ers, vote for the exec (if you're a member), and listen to the cool stuff the club is up to for this year!

Details (as before):

These events are open to all who hold a valid driver's licence!

Hey why not bring the hose and make it rain? I'm in.

You know, I will look into that for next season. It would be pretty cool to do a wet session. Maybe we'll make it like Spa with only one side of the track wet. :D

We're up to six drivers at the moment for the last event so entries are rolling in.

It'll be interesting to see how the points end up!

Sorry John, car #1 has been dismantled for inspection to determine why it's so good. :p

Is there still space?

Hopefully with the warmer weather they'll open the doors to get some air thru the place.

Yup, there's still space. We can do 12-13 people in one group.

Good point about the opening the doors! We'll have to see how the weather is but current forecast is for a cold morning I think.

Can non-members come and what is the age limit for experienced karters.

I'm in then.

Calling for 6deg Sun morning; with the doors open that would be no cooler than when it was -18deg with the doors closed last time I was there.

See you Sun.

Hi Doug, it's open to everyone. However, there is a requirement for all drivers to hold a valid drivers licence. I can ask if there are any exceptions for 'real' karting competitors. PM me the details. Hmm, I just realised that in my cutting and pasting I've managed to loose the "open to all" comment. Apologies!

That's a much better forecast and definitely worth opening the doors for. See you then!

Thanks to the SPDA guys for putting on good events. At least the paced the karts properly for this last event. I almost got my foot run over but hey it was all in good fun. Now we need more people for Cameron Karting on schedule 3.

Your welcome!

We're glad to put them on and keep everyones reflexes in top shape. :)

Hopefully you all enjoyed the competition, pizza, and a few give-aways!! Next year will be even better... ;)

I'll be getting the results up soon!

We should make sure that they radar all the karts every time we go. It was a lot better for the last race.

Top speeds are good but the handling also comes into play. I think next year I'll make it a condition that I do two laps with each kart starting at 9am so that all the lap times are identical by the time we're ready to qualify and race. :D:D

BTW, can all those that paid on Sunday using Interac please check your statements? One of them didn't go through. If it's you, please PM me so we can sort it out and I'm not out $85.

Cheers.

Oh yeah, I better get those results out!!

Hi Tashko,

Thanks for organizing four great events. I really enjoyed the comradery and close competition. I hope to see many of you at some lapping and autoslalom days this year. I'll be the guy in the red civic hatchback with a WRX drivetrain.:D
