iRacing.com Named Official Motorsport
Simulation Service of CASC-OR
Special Privileges Available to
Ontario Region Members

BEDFORD, MA (March 25, 2009) – The Canadian Automobile Sports Club-Ontario Region (CASC-OR) announced today that iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC has been named the group’s "Official Motorsport Simulation Service". The agreement allows all CASC-OR members, both new and existing ones, to take advantage of special membership privileges and incentives to participate in iRacing’s internet-based auto racing simulation service. iRacing.com will also provide contingency awards to top-performing CASC-OR drivers at season’s end.

"This iRacing.com partnership provides great value to our CASC-OR members,” said the organization’s Auto Slalom (Solo II) Director Gary Wood. "It provides them with an effective way to stay sharp during the long winter months. It’s also a great way during the season to tune up prior to track days. iRacing.com has created an incredibly accurate and fun racing experience for drivers of all skill levels, in a variety of cars. The great thing is that because it is internet-based you can be at home in the middle of a snow storm and getting valid seat time in single-car practice sessions or racing against full fields of other drivers. We're thrilled with this new association with iRacing.com and pleased to be able to offer this to our members.”

"Our partnership with CASC-OR makes perfect sense, as both groups share the goal of honing driver skill and creating a fun racing experience,” said Otto Szebeni, iRacing’s sales and marketing manager. “Our simulation will help the region’s drivers build their skills without emptying their wallets.”

iRacing.com is an online, subscription-based racing simulation service that allows drivers from all over the world to build their skills, while accumulating valuable seat-time at a tiny fraction of the cost of real-world testing. The unique feature of iRacing.com is the hyper-detailed, ultra-realistic simulation with accurate track, vehicle and physics modeling that accurately duplicates the handling of the car, the feel of the track and the driver’s sight picture from the cockpit.

If you do sign up, make sure you remove the "auto-renew" in the settings (on by default of course), otherwise, they will automatically charge your credit card when your membership expires without even telling you, and they will NOT refund you if you want to cancel it.

"Caveat emptor"

That is a pretty standard setup for internet services. After registering go and update your profile and renewal options.

They do not tell you because you chose the option for automatic renewal.

If I am unable to make the open house, is it possible to mail the entry form with payment? And if yes, would I be able to reserve a car number?
