Motor blew at a Solo 2 event

What motor next ? ? ? ........................

In this picture... I see some coolant... perhaps you have a head-gasket problem??? ;) :(

If you want to auto-x... go all motor & revs OR S/C

Turbo and N20 are out...

...buy a cheap motor... forged internals... crank the boost again... if it blows... ...buy a cheap motor... forged internals... crank the boost again... if it blows... ...buy a cheap motor... forged internals... crank the boost again...

Repeat as necessary.

Im going to go either

ALL MOTOR (over 200hp)

or

Turbo (easily over 200hp)

not sure

cuz i do solo 2 but im starting to enjoy lapping a hell of alot

1.8 Integra motor (140 hp) and Greddy turbo kit.
Supposedly rock-solid reliable and Cheap for over 200 hp!!!

Last time I checked it was good to have coolant in the cooling jacket wasn't it...:confused:

I agree on all motor for solo-2, or SC. But if you want forced induction don't chince. Spend the money and prepare the engine for the boost you want.

If "all-motor" is the way to go in Solo-II... Why do WRXes do so bloody well?

BTW, I'd like to see a Mitsu 4G64/63T hybrid (2.4L DOHC Turbo) go in that thing - but that's just me. :D

Good thing there isn't a bunch of old school corolla's around or those WRX's woundn't be doing as well as they do,you know 2nd place and lower!;)

Oh yeah,are you selling the jackson supercharger?since I have the same crx/B16 combo I might consider it if the price was right.
You don't have a spare cable clutch tranny laying around do you?(for the B16)

what kind of water injection system is for sale?


the real issue with honda engines and racing are 3 fold....
1=open deck design....(though from the pictures this was not an issue)
2=high revving...
3=map based fuel systems

boost is the way to go.....it just has to be done with the correct application in mind...and the correct platform to start with..
