View Full Version : WOSCA Event 5 pics! (17 Aug. 03)
TONS of pics from the event today are now up on my website. Note that I didn't take these - I forgot my camera - they were taken by Brian W. so he deserves the credit. I also have a 21MB in-car video of a run I took, but this won't fit on my webserver... If someone has an FTP I can upload it to I'd really appreciate it.
Go to the pics and all that. (http://members.rogers.com/jayhtemp/17A03/index.html)
Enjoy...

Okay, I shrunk the video and played around with the bitrate... Here's a smaller version:
Download (8MB) (http://members.rogers.com/227spammus/jay_miragerun.mpg)
This was a CLEAN run by the way... It looks like I nailed the leaner right before the stop box but I didn't! :D
I may have to take it down in a few weeks so get it while you can. Enjoy!

I'll put it up on WOSCA's site. BTW I can also export it as a wmv (very small storage).
Hey man,
Thanks for the pic!
Took me a minute to figure out where you got it from - but you're welcome! :D
("Hey, I don't remember that car from the 17th!")
Marsh, if the video could be hosted on the WOSCA site that would be much appreciated. Thanks. (I also have a 640x480 version but I don't think shrinking the file made it less watchable at all.)

TFGR, you shouldn't really link the picture from Jay's site in your sig. Posting it is one thing, but putting it in your sig will mean that it gets download by everyone that ever views a post that you have responded to. It can be very draining on bandwidth. Plus that site isn't exactly fast and the pictures kinda big for a sig.
Try cropping it down then finding a free photo hosting place (like imagestation).

OK Jay I converted the video to a wmv, it's now 2.5 MB. WOSCA should have tons of bandwidth to spare, you can just link to it there.

Anybody have any info on that Mustang II? Who owns it? Has it ran in any other competions?

It was his first time at a Solo. He did one run, but then we had to stop him from competing (we gave him his money back and deleted him from the results), because his rear brakes were locking before the fronts and we thought it was too big a safety issue. He said he's going to fix the brakes and come back because he had a blast on his one run.
Heh, I ran into him at the St Thomas Dragway a few days ago. Nice guy.
BTW thanks for buming the thread and reminding me to update the stoopid website. Give me a bit...
