Consider this a personal add for a friend with a flat driveway or killer garage.
I have nowhere to work on my car and a long list of things to do. More than happy to bring beer and / or help with your tasks.
General Toronto area preferred but not that picky.

Do you do painting? Carpeting? Electrical? Plumbing?

Haaaa. Can't paint. Basic electrical. No plumbing cause I don't like poop.
I meant I would help with whatever car stuff you have going on.
I want to take out my turbo and rebuild it tomorrow.
That must sound like fun for somebody???

Do they still use a variation of the TD04 Mitsu turbo?

Yeah, it's a TD04 16T. I've never taken a turbo apart either but I have a decent tutorial :)

360 CFM Turbo, quick spooling, journal bearing type. TD04 Cartridge with a teeeeeeny tiny hot side. There are upgrade options to that turbo, you know.. Muahahahahah.

I was thinking about swapping the cold side for an 18T wheel. I have access to the wheel cheap but I would have to get the housing machined and everything re-balanced. It's my DD and I am not allowed to work on my car at home so I can't imagine the hassles that would involve.
I don't want much more top end power as I prefer the quick spool so anything bigger isn't worth it.
Right now the boost comes in pretty late (3500rpm) and it seems to be blowing some oil into my intercooler pipes so I can only assume it's getting pretty tired and gummed up. That's why I want to freshen it up.
Now if I only had somewhere to do it.
