Breakdowns were pretty nasty this weekend at TMP.
Gord's C5, Ryan's Cav, A Lee's TypeR, Joe Smiley's Corvette, Russ's Mustang, and the Dwarf disappeared from the track after morning lapping...
Then a myriad of minor issues some repariable on site, some not... Adam's Master Cylinder, something with Frank's Vette, Andrew's Intercooler hose.
Probably a few more too...
So what happened there anyhow?

I went into the IGA at Pape and Danforth and some lady tried to parallel park her Camry while I was gone. $8 in pasta and salad fixings later (and no cracks about Miata guys and their diet - I gotta lose weight to SCUBA in Cuba), there it was.
The car's 28 months old and has been hit 5 times (once by my neighbour in my own driveway). D'ya think insurance will cover me painting this Day-Glo yellow?
But, DAMN, that was a bad weekend for cars!

I guess I am gonna have to come down and take a look at that, I think the only positive of my little issue is you can only hear it but can't see it. My car sounds like a harley now.
Sorry to hear about it Eric

Bring beer. I only got 4 Corona left in the fridge and no mix for the liquor...

Ryan, I forgot all about this: my sister's Cavalier died in traffic last year after breaking a plastic gear for the timing chain. The end result was a number of bent valves and a head that needed machining.
Her car is not a Z-24, so hopefully yours doesn't have this little oddity as well.
All of this started with a noisy valvetrain that could have easily been repaired, but look how it turned out.

Hers is probably the older Push rod 2.2L they have a timing chain set like a V8 it's a short chain. It might have been the tensioner shoe it is plastic (looks like a brake shoe).
Oh and I only have Guiness. :)
