Hi Ryan, William's planning to attend, beside the owners permission on the registration form I take it you still need a minor (he's 16) waiver signed? Do you guys use the same ASN one? Will you have some on hand?

Yes, yes, and ....... yes!

You can always d/l it from the ASN site as well, just to be sure.

Edit: Let me double-check with DD. GO used to have an 18+ rule for our events, I'm not sure if it still exists for 2009.

Hurray it's finally here; 21 degrees and sunny too! Hopefully I got all the cone punting/munching out of my system at Mosport, if not then I feel sorry for them!

Do you have an address that can be typed in the GPS? I moved recently to Mississauga and I'm not familiar with the area.

Google maps can give you GPS coordinates. Access is off of Alfred Kuehne Blvd. (which is very short)

Ok. I'll just follow the googlemaps instructions since I'm not very far from there anyway.

Unfortunately, the rule is still in our contract with GO. All competitors must be 18 years of age or older.

Hey thanks! Much appreciated Derek. But my friends got a trench down one side of his house that we dug last weekend to expose his leaky foundation. We gotta get it sealed up this weekend while the weather is good.

I have been waiting for the weather to be warm enough to ride my bike to work so I could take my time swaping my drivetrain. I had decided to just do it on the long weekend but my friend decided to start digging then. Now I have to get it done this coming week and next weekend for PITL #2.

Who was driving the orange "72 GTR". That thing was amazing, it gave me goosebumps.

His name was Quinten(I hope I spelledit right). I was talking to him about the rb 26 DETT swap and he was saying that the swap was actually pretty painless. The mounting points were close to the original inline 6 from the car. It was beautiful, I have to remember to get to him early in an event to co drive with him. Quinten, I love that car.

The Lotus was another one of my favourites.

I loved the event, and everyone I met was great. The course was pretty technical which was fun, and once the first section of the course was understood, everything went pretty smoothly. I was a bit nervous the first run with the intersection of cars on course but hey, what's autocross without a little sense of danger.:) Thanks to all the organizers at PITL, you made for one of the best events I have been too in a while.

I think my problem was lunch though because once I had a belly full of Coffee Time Egg Salad Sandwich and donut, I don't think I had 1 clean run. I blame Coffee Time.

What a great day for anything outside! I finally got a good set of R's, and need to learn that I can push harder - a lot harder...
Also, there is nothing you can do to scare the pylons away from your car :D

Funny, I knew the Z car wasn't going to stop in time after watching it on the back straight. You can see me walking backwards as I was marshalling the stop box lol "oh boy, oh boy... oohhhh crap!"

There was a red Miata did this best slide, must have taken out 8 cones in the run.

To clarify the OC. Part of a completed run is driving out the end of the stop box. You would have had to back out or drive around cones to get out, either is an OC.

We appreciate and enjoy all the great people that come to our events. You help make the events great.
Thanks, and hope to see you all next event.

These pics are exceptionally well done! They are very good examples of the art of cropping to highlight the subject matter and enhance detail.

Ugh. I so hate missing this. My insurance card (temp) expired on Friday and I forgot to call them to get a new temp and ultimately didn't know if I had insurance or not. Ironically all the permanent paperwork shows up Monday. Grrr. There goes a throwaway. 6 of 8 this year? 5 of 8 would be cooler. :p

You are insured and wouldn't get inspected anyway.

8 hours later.....

"Hello, CAA? He couldn't fix it, please tow me home"

A little late to the thread but my membership has just been cleared by the admins.

Great event! I'm still a novice and really enjoyed the challenge of a tight, technical course. Had a lot of fun eating cones (4 on run #3, sorry marshals). Will definitely be at the next event.

BTW, Quentin and his z car gave me the most intense ride of my life.

Well the thing is I had no verification the car was covered, just the brokers 1 month temp slip until friday. So it's possible I had no insurance at all (the fact it was already 30 days since I "got" insurance in the first place had me wondering...)

All my past experience is with "brokers" which are just fronts for the underwriter, so a change happens right then and there and I have new documentation in a few days. This.. has been different (and slow).

Hey guys - looking forward to this Sunday!

A question about fun runs: a friend would like to show up and try an easy lap or two at the end of the day. If we have time for fun runs, does he need to register at the start of the day?

Thanks!

13inches
06-01-2009, 03:02 PM
Fun runs are for drivers who have registered, paid, signed the waiver and attended the morning driver's meeting.

If he wants to ride along as a passenger, a simple signing of the waiver will suffice.
