View Full Version : MX-5 vs. Dodge Viper ACR and Porsche 911 GT2
Automobile Magazine took an MX-5 cup car, a Dodge Viper ACR and a Porsche 911 GT2 to the track for a comparo.

It's a pretty interesting read. Just last week I was saying to my wife I don't think I could have any more fun in a car than I do with my MX-5 no matter how much money I spent. Of course as a car guy I'd like to test that theory. :D

Having driven a GT2 around Shannonville, I'd have to agree with their assessment of it! Purely awesome and easy to drive fast. Running Fabi, clockwise we were seeing easily 140MPH at the end of the backstraight, and that was only the top of 4th gear!!!
It's a phenominal car.

What other way would you run? I cannot imagine running down to the hairpin on Fabi, from that straight, after entering from a corner as fast as 11.
How much fun would that be? I am ok with it, being a seller of brakes.

To be honest Pete......with the Carbon Ceramic brakes on the GT2 you could run that direction with no problem.
Not for long though......Do you sell GT2 parts at Marcor Pete?

50g's sure is a lot for a Miata. Neat article though.

or build yourself a lotus 7 style track car- like a deman motorsport(made in canada)- powered by a miata or hyabusa engine...and dominate!
