This sounds like a question that should be on a Mafia Forum.

"Yeah so I want to be able to stuff a guy who's 6'3" with a long torso in the trunk and still have room for my helmet so that I can whack somebody without having to cancel my track day"

:D

HA! True sports car, nothing. Certain generation subarus have reasonable head room, but there's certainly nothing left over. My mazda 3 (no sun roof) has the most head room of any non-truck I've ever driven. A mazdaspeed3 would then be a safe bet. But even with the wheel all the way out I need to sit bolt upright to reach it.

Now if you're willing to put in a racing seat with a custom mount and then an aftermarket steering wheel with lots of spacers (I had 2.5" or so of spacer in the prelude and really needed 3 or more) then the list get's a good deal larger.

Depending on how loose your definition of a sports car is, I'm 6'1 and I fit nicely into a Crossfire. They're relatively cheap, and the 2004s have the super warranty through 2011... Making the big assumption Chrysler will still be around to honor it lol. I should mention the windows are really narrow, so if you roll it, don't plan on climbing through with a helmet.

08 + Impreza's have tones of headroom. I'm 6'4 and fit in my 09 STI with lots of room to spare - even with the helmet on. Does an STI count? :D

Tight for space in my e36 M3 (stock seats) with a helmet on, although just barely "doable". I knew it would be tight when I bought it which is why I'm about to install a race seat.

08+ Sti is still the best bet by far if it's daily driven - in my experience.

What he said. I actually fit in my 944. I am 6'3" with a very long torso and huge head. I would recommend an 85.5 and up though, the early cars steering wheel placement sucks.

My car has stock seats and a sunroof. I wouldn't say there is room to spare but it's 99% better than most true sportscars. It's better than my IS300, that's for sure, that car is TIGHT!

I'm 6'3" and fit in this 83TA with enough room wearing a helmet.

The car is for sale if you're interested; it has a ZZ4 GM crate motor (365 FWHP), Koni Yellows, 17x9.5 rims, springs, subframe connectors, headers, catback & cutout, LCAs and brackets, panhard, plus a bunch of other crap. Tolerable on the street and goes pretty good around MIR.

A 350Z would work just fine, since there is no rear seats there is a ton of room. I just happen to have one for sale, and I can throw in some track pads to get you through a season :D.

I think you will would be surprised at how many "small" sports cars you fit in.

Most North American Porsche had sunroofs, but still reasonable headroom.

My 911 is the only car I never have to put the seats all the way back for.
I installed some Sparco seats and left out the slider for the driver's seat, gained about another inch or so headroom but short people now cannot drive it.
