It WAS a last year 944, and it looked like either something broke or he lifted in turn 1!
I was one of the first on scene (im in the medical field) and did a quick inspection of the driver and passenger. Both where void of major injuries. The driver's left knee was lacerated but at that that point he was so full of adrenaline, he didn't know.
His car was mashed good! Pete and I picked up what seemed like an endless amount of twisted and broken aluminum off the track!

Here are some pics...

Which is the really hard turn i've heard about at mosport.. turn 1 or turn 2? Something about blind and off camber with an elevation change. Refresh my memory.

Turn 1 is a slow turn in down hill right hander. Thats the corner you see in the first pic above. Turn 2 starts at the crest of a hill, is a off camber, left handed, double apex 160K turn. Thats the hill you see in the last pic above. Thats the one that everyone talks about! Just make sure you are going the right speed before you crest the hill!

Turn 1 seems to be claming more cars lives in the past few years than Turn 2. Maybe that's because of the changes made to 2 a few years back...

The worst I've ever seen there was the Trans Am race last year where the guy and his car was cut in half!:(
He spun off of turn 1 and ended over the crest of the hill at turn two mid-track. T-boned....very ugly! Very sad!:(

That kinda happens when you get cut inhalf, Jason!
