3) Only people who have signed the track waiver and have a wrist band will be allowed in the paddock area. The paddock area will be separated by Yellow Caution tape.
4) All cars must be classified to compete before registration is complete. Please classify your car at www.macrocosm.on.ca/ccdb/ before the event. If your car requires classification please bring information about your car (i.e. your car’s curb weight, manufacturer’s listed horsepower and any modifications to your car). Classification committee member, Will Chan will be available at Registration in the morning of the events to classify your cars prior to registration. Competitors using Dyno Plots must submit them at least on week before the event.
5) Each competitor shall present, upon request by any race official or fellow competitor, a copy of their car's classification declaration on paper for inspection (including if applicable, race weight, dyno declarations). Any competitor without this documentation shall be scored in Modified class at that event.
6) Competitors are requested to bring a signed Vehicle Technical Self-Daclaration Sheet to Scrutineering (http://www.casc.on.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=16875).
7) All cars are required to display the designated sponsor decals including the weekend sponsor.
8) Morning, Lunch and End of day open practice start/finish times may be adjusted per time limitations.
9) Saturday – Nelson track; During open practice runs, passing is allowed between corners 1 and 2 and between corners 6 and 1 (Front Straight). The car being passed must signal the following car to pass. All passes must be completed on the right side of the car being passed.
10) Sunday – Pro track; During open practice runs, passing is allowed between corners 5 and 6 (Fabi Straight), and on the front straight (between corners 11 and 1). The car being passed must signal the following car to pass. All passes must be completed on the right side of the car being passed.
11) For the morning Open Practice session, best effort will be made to provide each competitor with at least one practice session. Competitors who haven't been on the track once should line up their cars in the grid area on the right side along the track wall. Competitors completing one practice session should line up in a second line in the middle of the grid area.
12) To discourage competitors from cutting the curbing and dragging stones on to the track, pylons will be placed ON the stones (abutting the curbing) at the apexes. Competitors who knock over the pylons will receive a four-wheels-off penalty.
13) Maximum allowable noise level will be 95 db as requested by Shannonville for all cars except in Modified class which is 98db (Modified vehicles are not allowed on the track before 9:00am).
14) All competitors are expected to perform marshaling duties assigned by the Chief Marshall (Gerry Cornwell). Competitors who do not marshal, will forfeit their times and scoring.
15) Marshall Safety: Marshals should never be sitting down. A lone marshal should always face traffic. If a station has only two marshals and both directions need to be watched, then the marshals should stand face to face so that they can be instantly alerted by the other marshal of impending danger.
16) Passengers under 18 years of age will not be allowed in cars during open practice or competition.
17) The governing regulations for this event are in the 2009 Ontario SoloSprint Regulations rulebook.
18) Competitors are reminded of the rules requiring long sleeve shirts, long pants, socks and fully
enclosed shoes during competition.
19) Competitors are required to allow the CCC to install a Data Acquisition Device periodically in select vehicles.
20) The SMP Restaurant will be open from 8:00am to 2:00pm both days.
21) Additional supplementary regulations may be instituted based upon experiences during the weekend. Such additions or amendments will be clearly stated at the morning drivers' meetings.
