No dice. Only series-registered folk get special registration benefits.
But you can save a few minutes by filling out your form ahead of time:

Great Event! Not my strongest race since I was of the pace by a bit. You destroyed me Ammaar. I still have not met my fellow Bmodder. Next time.
Today's event was alot of fun- great track and a wide variety of cars! Being my third event ever I can safely say that I'm hooked!

Indeed a good event that gave me the opportunity to see what the car can do in the hands of a good driver.
After Derek drove it he was theoretically leading the class  with the time that he managed while my best run of the day was a distant 2.5 seconds behind his time.:o
No more excuses :), looks like a have a lot to learn in the stock class :D

Your SVT is a great car IMO.
Needs better tires

^ he does
i was talking to him at the TLMC event the next day, i think he had them at 40 something PSI and they were still rolling way over on the sidewall
all seasons are no good for autox :D

At some point I was running 44-46 hot in front for testing and they still rolled but I had worst grip so I set them back at 42.
The car came with summer tires from the factory so it's not fair for me to have all seasons but last year when I bought them they were the only choice because of financial reasons. I hope to burn through them by next year when I plan on getting some Dunlop Direzza Star Spec ;)
I also bought 4 new stock dampers which I'll install this week-end because at 100.000 km the original ones are shot and on the track or street the car feels like it's floating which doesn't inspire confidence.

Way back when - I had a friend try autocross in his 88 (4cyl) mustang LX.
We were running the 70 series all seasons at 52PSI front
Still almost rolling to the rim.

I guess that is so much you can do to a tire but if its purpose is not to be driven at limit new ones are in order :D

Just looking at the results (http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/Results/pitl-results2009.html) ! Can you tell me why the two Miatas and the CTS-V are in D-Class?

The two Miatas are actually the same car, the yellow Lotus-skinned car driven by Bill and his daughter. Considering the extensive modification done to the car, that's where it landed.
The CTS-V was on non-DOT Hoosiers.

Looking over your classification system, why is the Mr2 not in AMOD? It meets all the criteria

I thought it would have been in A-mod as well. Same suspension and tires as my car and over 1,500 lbs.

Do you really feel that, in the spirit of our club events, simplistic rules and the spirit of competition that it is fair to put your purpose built race car in a class of cars that are streetable?
Do we need to amend the rules to add that any vehicle that is not theoretically streetable are D-Mod?
Note: The event organizer reserves the right to classify, on-site, any vehicle that does not readily fit into any of the above car classes. Classifications
You may protest to the president if you wish.
In the spirit of fairness to other competitors that car is D-Mod.

In the spirit of fairness to the other competitors? The rules state very clearly a minimum weight of 1500lbs, I doubt you could list 3 cars that would be "streetable" at that weight. The definition of a purpose built race car is vague to be sure but would no doubt include such terms as "tube frame", "aerodynamic aids", and "open wheeled". How is it fair to put a 24 year rusted POS MR2 with a stock motor, stock brakes, running coil-overs and Toyo's against the likes of this??
http://www.smallfortuneracing.com/WhatsHappening/files/ts19908.jpg
The only thing purpose built in the car is the roll cage to keep all 4 wheels pointing in the right direction.
The spirit of fairness doesn't mean sh*t to me as I will run in whatever class the organizers of the day put me in...but it might matter to the next guy (say a CTS-V running on Hoosiers) and we start losing up and coming keeners because of unwritten rules.

As long as they don't try to put MY car in D-MOD if I actually start posing some sort of threat to the organizers that run in A-MOD! :)

Trust in the organizers descretion in this series. PITL is not the kind of series where you play the class placement game. Theyve been holding the most fun events for the last decade. Because they know driving cars you own like theyre stolen is more fun than racking up trophies! :)

In the past we've put Tom's Corolla, Andrew's VW and many other purpose-built cars in our D class, so I don't think it's much of a stretch to see Bill's car there.
Besides, FTDs are really what counts. A or D, you're still chasing the SAE car ;)

Agreed, to a point. If it's all that counted, I'd have 710's or Hoosiers. Lazy is a factor here too and one that seems to win over me more and more the older I get. :)
