#1: My clutch and axles seem to be holding up. So I like drag launches again.
#2: I still HAVEN'T learned why Trung can't keep rear axles in his STi's... I'm still on the originals! :p
#3: Run #1 felt like punishment. It took until the fourth run to really appreciate and enjoy the technical elements of that course.
#4: I like a combination of on and off-camber turns in Autoslalom!
#5: PMSC's rally crew also organizes good Autoslaloms!
#6: Klaus can do a 46.6 on his first run in my car, leaving it second gear after the first turn. Incredible...
#7: Mike's cheating. I haven't figured out how, but I think his front bumper extends and retracts to somehow shave one second off a reasonable time.
#8: Mike's not Jesus, he's Satan!
#9: Watching Klaus' eyes during his first 300whp 6000rpm launch? Priceless.
#10: In Peterborough... a Dodge never dies.

Considering a new rule. If the wind blows a cone through the timing beam during a run that the time will count as an "act of God" event. :)

Due to exhaustion and timing problems, I didn’t get a full then Things for this event, but here we go:
That was a great course for the size of the lot. I’ve never had so much fun while driving so poorly. It reminded me of my youth, drifting mom’s Caprice on the grid roads in southern Saskatchewan.
I may have to book something at the Ranch Resort, just to get my hands on some more of those sausages. Hmmm, that sounds less family oriented than it is....
We’ve either got to start enforcing the dB levels at events, or move the timing tent farther away from the start line. I couldn’t even hear myself swear after running over the same damn cone for the third time.
Was that a diesel Jetta, or the Springfield Tire Fire (est. 1989)?
What was I thinking? I should’ve packed my garbage and taken it to Peterborough. They had nice big dumpsters and no surly picketers.
For the purposes of Solo II, a Hyundai Pony is slower than an actual pony.

Are results posted for this yet? Will the yokels be included?

If a $700 car wearing $200 of used Ra-1's gets me 9th fastest, I wonder what some actual time/money/effort would net me? My other question is where are all the other Mitsubishis at?!

Slower and down the line, as you add more mods to the car, the harder it is to do well.
Look at Marsh's Miata - Bone Stock (wink wink) with the largest rubber he can fit.
It is the law of diminishing returns - sometimes $$ does not mean faster.

I was thinking more just freshening the car up for HS. New OEM springs that don't have 15 years and 200k km's on them, new Tokico blue shocks, and actually going to get an alignment and replacing the torn rubber bushings and mounts I've noticed so far. I'll be at Picton on Sep. 19th, maybe I'll take care of a few things before then, though I'm racing in the rallycross in Bancroft on Sunday, so we'll see what survives first. :)
