so..it takes a few hits on my head with a hammer before i actually clue in.....

1=turbo cars are hard to field in racing
2= never underestimate the heat generated by a turbo car
3=when you think you have enough heat shielding....add two times more....
4=keep everything that can burn away from the turbo area...
5=when you buy a set of rims...buy the absolute widest set and widest tires that can fit on the car...
6=bolts are your enemy......how to stop bolts from coming loose..... WELD them all on...and worry about taking them off later.
7=ridged mount the engine...it makes things way easier...
8=don't melt your master cylinder..it makes it very hard to stop with your brakes.
9=go for the throat..why mess around with low boost..when you could go much higher...

this year was a very good test session for the car...lots more bugs to work out...but this winter they will all be corrected properly, and the car will be much faster next season and reliable.

If you can, get a silvia motor from Japan with a proper boost controller and be done with it.....

i have driven several silvia/SR powered cars on the track....and they would get destroyed by my machine...so thats not the way to go..

hrm....this sounds strangely familiar...weren't you singing this song last winter too, after my wretched little crapbox of a car spanked you all weekend long at SMP? :D Hehehehehe......

Who loves ya baby!

dave my evil mentor...yes...but...the big but..the car has gotten much faster this year..and was slightly more reliable....i have time its ok...i can wait....one of my goals was to beat a z06..and i did...so that was good..and the other modified corvettes were not that far away either....next year the car will come out even quicker..and 100% no honda will stand in the way of

NISSAN POWER!!!!!!

over the winter i think i will pick up another 40-60rwhp...and drop another 100lbs off the car...and have larger tires....that should be enough to post some FTD's... i think..will see

yup, I do believe you'll post a few FTD's right before the engine goes....BOOM! ;) You know what...you never gave me a ride in your car after I drove the rowboat last season...would have been interesting to feel how it's improved this year from behind the wheel. I feel so unloved...

hi weasel,

next time out..take it for a boot.....the car actually runs like a normal car now..no more popping or spewing out crud...its actually tuned correctly..and the RA's made a big difference

...the car most likely handles better than it is fast..since on the smaller tracks it seems to be able to keep up with the vettes better...and i still do not have the radar speeds to beat the vettes on the straights...not that the car was working when those trap speeds were taking....and the boost was low...

but the last event at TMP..just before the brakes went during lapping..and just before the turbo bolts all came loose...the car felt very powerfull at the 17psi that i had it boosting too...

will see...this is a long term goal.....if it does ever come together reliability wise..it will be a very potent solo 1 car

NISSAN POWER!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that everybody's goal?

See if this pic works, showing Adam gridded ahead of a Vette:
