That place is long gone, used to be astonstein (sp???). They went out of business 2+ years ago at least.

I know they built some pretty nice cars though.

I think Revnhigh is in that location now: http://www.revnhigh.com/

I've used Champion Motors in Toronto, great shop or you could try Redline in Scarborough.

Hey Adam, Agastino behind Karbelt in Pickering is gonzo. One of their staff though, the good one, (Pete Olin) is now over at Redline Performance, McCowan and Sheppard in Scarborough. Powel in Port Perry does a lot of Vettes, not sure how much work they do though. I would recommend Redline, just stay away from Wade, guy's a tool. Pete though, good guy, does good work.:)

The shop in Pickering used to be Agostino's Racing Engines ... folded quite awhile ago. Yes, it is currently Rev'n High in there now (the owner, Darren, is a good guy). I'm pretty sure he can hook you up with whatever parts, etc. that you need. For awhile, Rev'n High was also sharing the facility with Canadian Performance ... who focused on building wickedly high-performing LSX engines. Unfortunately, the owner passed away almost ~2 years ago now, but that business was absorbed by Champion Motors (mentioned above). I don't know the guys there personally, but I've heard nothing but good reviews, and I know that one of the guys working there is supposed to be very good at custom performance tuning (Arun). I don't think you'd go wrong talking to them.

Redline Performance in Scarborough is also supposed to be a good shop. One of the guys in there was supposedly one of the top mechanics at the late Agostino Racing. I've heard good things about going there as well.

Unfortunately, seems the demise of A.R.E. caused a split in some of the guys who used to work there, and it's created a pretty nasty "shop war" between many of them ever since. If you search around on some of the LS1 specific forums ... well ... according to each shop, the other shop doesn't know an engine from their arsehole!! I haven't been to either place for anything more than a dyno pull or simple exhaust work, so I can't speak personally for their engine building skills. I'm sure you'll get good results at either one .

Don't you already have too much power for your car as it is???? :p Or have you found a way to put AWD in so you can get 4-wheel spin coming out of the corners?! :D

Adam,

All the shops mentioned are good choices. In all cases of course, buyer beware.

If you are looking for bolts ons to do this yourself I suggest you PM or email Dale (RAMPANT) on TFBM forum. He is very knowledgeable on these motors for the best sources and pricing on these items.

You may be able to get them directly yourself if you do not need to use the shop for labour. Of course it is worth asking the shops as they may give you a break on the parts if you use their labour for an install.

I agree... Dale would be an excellent resource... nice guy to boot... currently he's building a one-off 455 LSX

Check out Powell Racing. I think they are in the Pickering area. They do awesome work on Corvettes.

I have tried damn near everything on these motors, Bolt ons, H/C 429 rwhp, 412LS2 519 rwhp, Sprayed 639 rwhp, currently a 455ci LS7 with an ITB intake ? rwhp. :D

I would not recommend my current engine builder as he is not good at keeping to a schedule or budget.

I will shoot the OP a PM with my number if you want to discuss any LS stuff as I like to help people avoid my mistakes.

Back to the garage, it is time to finish this thing, I have already missed too many events this year.
