TLMC AutoX on Aug 22??

I was hoping to go to this event in Barrie on the 22nd, but just noticed that it's only open to members?? Is it possible to still show up and do a few runs if we are not competing for points? or pay for membership onsite?? Anybody know??

Sorry Shane, this weekend's event is our member's only shootout, we had a cutoff date a few weeks ago where one could become a member to qualify but sadly that has passed.

Hey those are all Mazdas!.

Thanks to Mazda Canada for providing the cars and to TLMC and specifically Steve for making it happen,I had a blast.The mazda employee that rode with me was shaking as much after his ride along as he was after his turn to drive.;)

Congrats to Philip,I kinda hoping picking him to win in the ballot thing would jinx him but it didn't work.:)

Well... Even if things didn't go perfectly smooth this year, I'm sure we could come up with another plan for next year.

The main thing is I really enjoy the shootouts no matter what car we use. I enjoy the competition when everyone drives the same car....as long as the car lasts the day...lol.

I would like to echo the sentiments above.. what a fantastic time! I had a blast romping on mazdas other than my own, and I'm really grateful to Steve for setting up the 'demo cars' from Mazda. He deserves a huge 'thanks' from all the TLMC members. I think the Mazda guys had a great time, and I think my ride-along partner's coming back for our next event!

I can only imagine how difficult this was to arrange, and I hope that similar situations will happen in the future!
