WOW, where is the button for "turn off the annoying sounds"?

Not very professional.

What sounds? No volume control on your speakers?:)

Many of us have our speakers on, so that the reassuring "ding" from the e-mail program alerts you to the arrival of a message from your boss.

So that you can reply quickly and look like a good person, unlike the person that has loud engine noises blaring from their speakers.

Good step in the right direction anyway.

looks great!...until the "Friends of Ft. Erie" complain about all the traffic and noise, and bylaw problems, and then they'll build homes nearby because of urban sprawl, and the neighbours will complain because they built a house beside a RACE TRACK!

...then Jeff Gordon will take care of them all, wooing all the women with his boyish good looks and big american gun.

Take a look at the satellite view of the area. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=fort+erie,+on&sll=49.891235,-97.15369&sspn=41.287156,75.498047&ie=UTF8&ll=42.926357,-78.990669&spn=0.022782,0.036864&t=h&z=15

There's not a lot there now that will be impacted by the proposed race track. The race track site plan looks to have plenty of noise mitigation features in the way of surrounding buildings and forested areas, never mind some very large distance offsets from any nearby inhabited areas.

In other words, there is no signifiant established habitation presence right now that would be adversely impacted by the race track. All there is appears to be is farm land and forest to the south, a quarry to the west, cemetary to the north-west, train tracks to the north, a scrap yard to the north-east, and the QEW to the east.

Having the QEW right next door as an ingress/egress corridor means that there will not likely be any serious traffic impact on nearby residents in the larger surrounding area either. In other words, minimal potential for adverse impact to people living in the area. This is where Dunnville should have been built.

With a race track already in place, it will be the existing land use. Any new residential development taking place in the area later will include a covenant on title warning of potential noise issues that might interfere with one's use of their property, just like all new homes built under or near Toronto airport's approach and take-off flight paths do now.

I was intrigued until I realized two left turns comprised the entire track.

I was intrigued until I realized two left turns comprised the entire track.Huh? There's also a road courses built into it that goes outside the oval.

I think I see the road course now thanks! :D I'm also working on my 6th coffee right now, so that helps too.

Yeah I missed some of that too. I thought it would be a 'roval' course and that all the stuff outside of the track was for RV parking.:o

Guess I've been doing too many companion races with Nascar lately.

There is some "roval" factor as the road course can be configured to go up onto and back off of the oval.

Looks like a hell of a facility. I'm a little dissapointed because it will be a flat road course (not the hilliest of country) and I'm AssUMe'ing the cost of running there will be closer to Bogie prices than Dunnville prices :(

Looks nice, but I'll believe it's going to happen when they drop the green.
