Thanks for a great event, guys. Was worth the trip down from montreal.

Of course, there are always ups and downs for any event, but overall it was great. 4 runs would have been real nice though. scrap the morning "practice" which is pretty much useless since you cant pass even on the straight, and add another run. just my 2 cents.

I'll post pictures soon after I sort them.

hope to see you at the solo1 at Watkins Glen in october.

regards,
Liam

It was fun stopping in Sunday. Rotten luck with my car... stiemied by a stinkin' thermostat valve. Oh well.

Lots of interesting cars out - great to see a Porsche Turbo in Solo 1!

Yes, indeed it was fun to return to a track that I haven't run since 1998. Although slower in my street car, it was still quite interesting.
It was also fun to see new cars and faces.....road trips are always fun.

Hope to see some of you at our next road trip stop when we visit an EMRA event in October at Watkins Glen....October 19th I think....

If Kenneth Lau reads this post, email me direct carlwener@hotmail.com for the info we discussed.

See ya'll next year for sure!

I had an excellent time as well and would like to thank OMSC and the Solo Ontario crowd in general for welcoming us with open arms. I also hope to see some of you Ontario guys at one of our events in 2004 or at the Glen this year.

4 runs would have been real nice

Thanks to all who kept the day flowing so well.

If my math is correct, we had 22 walk-ins, and 70 competitors - both records for this year. We had planned on 8 walk-ins and maybe 60 compeitors.

In past years, we would have been lucky to get in 3 timed runs. We were contemplating booking the track for an extra hour - just in case.

Some highlights and special thanks to:

All the competitors who hustled out to their marshal posts - even before the official marshal change.
The guys doing gridding - making sure that cars and drivers were in the right place at the right time.
All the people there for the first time who made sure they were in the right place at the right time.
The drivers who kept it safe. I don't believe we ever had to send out the truck for a tow.
Victor for producing the new grid order list, and the clerks for cranking out the cars.

There were few Yellow flags thrown, and instead of running out of time, we had an hour for Open Lapping!

I really wanted to be a walk-in this time. :(

While giving out thanks, I think it should be noted that Rob McAuley and the rest of the registration folks and all of the OMSC folks did a great job with Sunday with such a large goup and that number of walk-ins. Well done!
