For what it's worth, there is currently an effort to gather support for the Dunnville track to continue operating.

Read the press release here (http://www.nyspeed.com/savedunnville/DUNNVILLE-PR-090914.pdf) for a quick backgrounder and a summary of the new plan.

Sign on here (http://www.nyspeed.com/savedunnville/) if you support it.

Cheers

Mike

SoloSprints/Lapping's not my discipline, but I'm in. :D

some of the people attending these lapping days, and Solosprint are the future of race. I am in race because a couple of racers took me lapping.

We all need to support this.

It is a shame that Lee is out, he was very enthusastic about the facility. However, if that change of face will have a positive impact on the Autodrome, then I'm sure even he would be happy with it.

It takes about 30 seconds of your time to sign it, please do even if you aren't in to lapping. John and racecartech have the right idea.

Yup, we're all in this together. Maybe you should post a link to this on the racing threads (road, vintage and ice)? :)

Signed.

If you are part of any other auto clubs/forums, post this up there as well to get as many people as possible.

Not to sound like a pessimist, but will the powers that be really care if a bunch of racers from other municipalities sign the petition? Are they not likely to go with what the locals demand?
I singed it, but is there someone local to Dunville know what the major issues are? I've seen some of these "community groups" griping about noise before, in Peterborough they built a new subdivision not far from the airport, major highway and a set of train tracks, they complain about noise from the airport even though it was there 50 years before the subdivision:rolleyes:.

The thing is that people from all over the Niagara Peninsula, around the Golden Horseshoe and our racing brothers & sisters from south of the border use the track, so that means $$$$ in their pockets......they will care when they see how wide spread this petition is.....keep it going!!!
