Two thumbs up! Looking forward to it.
I hope the rain holds off, I have a set of 710s to wear out.

Hey all

My car will not be making the trip.
I am not asking for a co-drive due to the "Marathon" event.
However, if anyone is interested in my opinion or a couple of "benchmark" (te-heh) runs done in their vehicle - I am willing to be your 8itch.

See y'all Saturday

What is the current record of most runs in a day?? I seem to remember double digits at the Hersey Centre once.

Yep, got the day pass so I'll be there. My daughter was born June 12th and things are finally settling down. Who would have guessed a baby would take up so much time? ;);)

Maybe you can take the Celica out for a warm-up run - just be kind to the transmission. I'll need new tires for next year, so I might as well use them up as much as possible tomorrow.

I would love a few runs in your rocket (in forward gears).

Hope you'll like the photos. I just got the camera two weeks ago so I still have a lot to learn.

Since Ryan isn't likely to toot his own horn.

Congrats to Ryan for beating me in the shootout. (I'm now 0 and 2 in Mustangs. Grr.)

Unfortunately Mr. Tong couldn't attend the event to participate in the shootout as well.

Thanks to Frank for allowing us use of his baby for the shootout as well.

Also it was fun watching the race for B Stock with Jacob and Mike battling back and forth run for run for the Class championship. Mike pulled it off with his last dry run, just a couple minutes before the rain came. :)

Good times.

What Tay said.
Congratulations to 13Inches - the 2009 series champion
B Stock battle was superb. You would swear Mike and Jake were waiting on their 1st baby between runs :eek:

Thanks to all the competitors - it is you guys who make the series great (and fun).
Hope to see you next year.

First of all I'd like to thank the event organizers for holding such a great series, I had a great time and I fully intend to join you guys next year. This last event was especially awesome, with a full twelve runs!

Also I'd like to congratulate Val for a good run all season long in A Stock, consistantly beating me out every event. Every time I got within a half second of his Miata, he'd pull another second out of his ass!

Finally, as much as I'd love to keep A Stock interesting, I've got some coilovers I've been saving for next year while I learned how to drive on the stock suspension. So for next year, A Mod here I come!

Thanks to all the pitl guys as always a class event(s)......

T'was good, still amazes me every time, I give the keys to peeler.... In the rain, on 710's the beeeaaatccchhhh still pulls a good time out. Well at least I know it's not the car. <G>

Congrats to the gazoo, for the win.....

Val, you need to change to Cmod, and start playing with the rest of us.....

Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next season.

Can't wait till budget allows me to join you guys. CMod is one big melee of competition.

I loved PITL this year and can't wait for the next. Thanks to everyone who makes it possible and who keeps things lots of fun. :D

We hope everyone had a great time on Saturday, I know I sure did!

Thanks again to Frank for putting up the shootout car, sparing a harsh beating on the Tropical Rhythms van. It was a really fun car to drive, and I can't believe the shootout came down to a 1/10th of a second again.....minus that cone of course ;)

Event and season results should be up shortly. And don't forget to watch out for the year-end banquet and gift exchange. It's always a great time!

Thanks for putting on a great series guys!

The battle for BStock was awsome... just wish the rain had held off long enough for us to finish on even ground.

Congrats to Mike on the season win, and Ryan for the shootout win. I will be back next season for my rematch! :)

^^^^^^^^what everyone said.

Loved PITL's technical and fun courses. Thanks to the organizers! Count me in as a series registrant next season.

And thanks to Derek for showing me the left over potential in my car that I need to exploit.

Yeah I just got the results (and posted) and noticed that. I can't believe there's that big of a difference for you based on the temp.

Is that an R888 thing?

I'm on RA1's and I think the reason my times dropped so much in run 7 and 8, despite being rather cold, was, not only was I fed (coming off an illness) but the car was starving for gas the previous couple runs going into the stop box. Still, I tend to run better just after I eat. :) Anyhow.. rambling...

Thanks again, Ammaar, for helping me out with the battery cable before run#6. I'm still impressed that you were putting down faster times than I could in my Spec V.

I couldn't stick around for the afternoon session, but I see that my time didn't hold up in B-Stock Plus...nice run, Todd.

I can't believe it took me so long to get a ride along in your car. That acceleration is grin inducingly rapid. It was awesome. My jaw could only drop every time you got to a straight.

There are so many! I've got 5+ gigs of videos to cut, name, and upload. They should be posted tomorrow.

You better get those vids up, I wanna see the one where I understeer into the wall o' cones! The camera was in the perfect spot to catch it. Also the video where I got red flagged cause my muffler fell off would be entertaining as well.

I did not have a good start to the day :D

Yep
I find they do not like the cold. My times were way better when the amb Temps are hotter. Also there the GG's which are harder. I am on my 2nd year with PITL and they stay on all summer and they still look new. I'm not driving hard enought! :)

i set my 2nd fastest time on my 10th run in the rain... the rain caught up to me at the last cone on the left comming out of the long sweeper before the stop box and i pushed out a bit wider than usual and had to wait to get on the gas.... if it had of held i woulda set my best time on a full wet track... so dont count the r888's out

Im a little late to the party... anyways I just wanted to say, that was a awesome event put on by a great crew. I wish I had known this club existed earlier in the season, I would have made it out to more of the events considering im only a 5 min drive away! I was however a little bit confused as to why I was placed in C-Mod when my car, according to the rules, was within B-Mod specs.... Maybe this was due to the time constraint or the fact it was my frst time visiting this club and no one was familiar with my car . For example I run SS2 during HADA events and ST2 at TLMC events. I hope no one thinks im complaining, just would like to clear this up before next year :) Despite this I had a great time navigating one of my favorite layouts of the year and will be attending every event next year!

See you guys in the spring!

Corey Whiteman

*EDIT* should have mentioned, I was driving the black MK3 golf tricycling around the course

we asked why you were classified in c-mod as well

ryan said you ticked off the ecu/fuel box

also, it says you had the street tire bonus but someone said you were running slicks?

i never went to check/say anything cause you werent in my class :D

yes I have a ecu chip but my car is a N/A 2.0 8V motor with about 120hp lol...I dont even have an LSD. Maybe someone thought I had a 1.8T or 2.0T. As for tires, I wish I had slicks but I was running some savaged 195/50/15 RE-01's I picked up used in the FS thread :D I will be changing alot of parts over the winter and will most likely be running C Mod next year anyways but thanks for the clarification! :D

Just re-read the rules for B-Mod, it does mention no engine mods so pardon my ignorance. :o I guess it bites if your lacking power form the factory LOL

Yeah some cars just get hosed. My last car was a EG Civic with a D15B SOHC VTEC (basically the exact same as a USDM Civic Si motor, 1ft/lb more, 1 hp less or something like that) but the car was auto MOD class because of the engine swap. It's a 'club' series, so in the interest of keeping things simple and class counts high, the rules are dumbed down and generalized.

Course for EG civic owners that D15 motor from JDM engine suppliers is cheap, readily available and with low milage, not to mention the ability to mate it to the S20 LSD transmission. So makes all sorts of 'budget racing' sense but yeah.. can't please everyone. How's it go? "Fast, Cheap, Reliable... pick two".

Closest you can get to fair from that standpoint is the regional series. But that's a whole other ball of wax.
