Can I get a confirmation that this event is open to the public? I think I got a couple new people hooked at our charity event in London this past weekend.

As far as I know it is open to anyone.

Anyone want to let me drive their car :), Winter beater won't be as fast as the 02 was :)
Only yesterday I checked my tires after Picton and found a nice donut sized spot on the left rear tire that showed the cords. I guess the Hoosiers are done.
Still want to come to Barrie though, I'd really like to complete the season with this event. Is anyone good in performing a Rain-dance, I've got some good old full thread RA-1 ... :D
See ya there .... regardless of weather. :)

The rookie of the year (3.62 points separate 1st from third) battle should be interesting.
Looking forward to Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.

I figure that as long as the top two guys don't score better than one of their other four scores, then I need to score a 94.27 to take the Novice Championship.
Needless to say, I'm going to be trying pretty hard to go fast fast FAST!

I hope its going to be dry on Sunday, as I made all my wet tires dry ones at Picton

Here's a schedule for Sunday's event.
Registration will be open at 8:00.
Registration will close at 9:15.
Driver's meeting will start around 9:30.
First car should be running around 10:00.
We will run as many runs as we can before 4:00.
This event will be run the same way the second regional event of the season was run. You will be required to marshall after each run. We will not be taking a break for lunch. You SHOULD have enough time between marshalling and your next run to grab something from the many vendors in the area.
I'm expecting 80+ drivers to be at the event, and roughly a 50ish second FTD should we get some dry runs in. We will eventually be running two cars at a time.
See you Sunday!

I'll be there. I just haven't decided which slicks to use. I'm already using the softest ones and it's hard to keep heat in them when it's warm.

Bryce, in order for you to win the championship, it's gonna be on you to score at least 91.27.

I shoulda put the winters on early and broke the Hoosiers out for the last event LOL!

I think mod class(for the club championship) looks to be a close one,I'm the only 1 with 3 wins I think but I so sucked at the last event(and no throw aways for me to boot) it was embarrassing. My big fat rear tires are now mounted on itty bitty skinny fwd offset wheels-might have some better luck dodging cones this time.:o

Scoring four out of seven this year? Hey... Klaus has locked up D-Mod! Congrats Klaus on a well-earned win!! The battle IS for second with Craig favoured...
... Please let it rain all day! ;)
Thanks Stephen, I guess I will not have to come to Barrie after all .....
NAAAAA!!!!, this is too much fun to miss out ... I'll be there! :D
400+ Km EACH way towing my car = ~$120 gas
staying overnight in Barrie = $150 food and hotel
I found a set of used Hoosiers A6 (cheap, cheap, cheap), may not need them if it's raining ... but they will be good for next year's first (???) event at Picton.
soooo, I am going to have some fun in Barrie, will you have a car to drive Stephen ?? ... would you fit in mine?? it's a bit toight... ;)

I've had the misfortune of pulling all nighters twice before an ice race swapping out an engine-makes for a long day afterwards though.

I won't be attending... no way that I could beat you in your car unless I had mine. You get 100% out of your car every time and me managing 99% in a borrowed car isn't going to cut it. :)
But please do me a favour and utterly decimate your competition so that I can pick up second in the championship. With the TLMC win, and organizers points that aren't yet shown for Event #5, I'm in the hunt for second even if I'm not there.

so.... has anyone tried to calculate the FTS standings?? (Fastest Time for the Series)
These were the rules that Gary sent out when it was announced. I guess there was a FTS for Stock/SS classes and one for SP/Mod classes IIRC.
scoring basis:
a. Best raw time for the event in your class
b. If you drove another car in your group (ie stock or prep'd) use raw score
c. If you are in Stock but drove a prep'd car - use stock average
d. If you are in Prep'd but drove a stock car, use raw stock car time
e. If you missed the event use average time for your group - max 2 per season
f. If you were an organizer - use average time for your group
g. If you have already used 2 average times score 100.00 secs

Good job Mike ... I guess you knew what's going to happen when you told me your time before my last run.
All day long I was ahead by a good margin, before my last run whenn you told me that you went 3 tenth faster, I thought ... oh shucks, now I have to push ... and off course that leads to mistakes ... pushed to much in the slalom, hit a cone ... rest is history.
I guess those cheap Hoosiers I got were not even worth the $100 bucks, oh well, the season is over anyways.
It was amazing it did not rain at the Molson Centre. As I drove North on the 11, not even 3 km north of the MC, still in Barrie the roads were all wet and I was cathing up with the storms on Hwy 118, just after Hwy 35 going to Haliburton.

Just did some number crunching, and this is what I came up with.
If I wanted to tie Bryce, I would have had to score a 98.23. That means I would have had to have a PAX time of 39.903. In CMOD, I would have had to run a 44.885.
If a CMOD car wanted to win the event, it would have had to run a 44.091...just sayin'.
