View Full Version : Can our club attend Solo II events?

Hi,

I'm from Clubsol Canada (Honda del sol car club) and I was at one of the Solo II events at the hershy center last summer (my friend Derek was racing) and found solo II to be quite fun.

As part of my event organizer responsibilities, I'm inquiring if it would be possible for some of our members to attend one of your Solo II events this summer?

We just want to have fun driving our del sols and see who's the best driver/car setup in the club. Some members might find it so fun that they'll sign up for the entire racing season but we mostly want to have a couple more driving events for our club this summer.

We prefer to have our members race in a safe and controlled environement than street racing. We already lost one of our most prominent del sols last summer to a street racing accident and we don't want to lose anymore this year. The driver was lucky and escaped the crash unscathed but we lost one of the best del sols in the country.

Can anyone help us?

I can't speak for other clubs, but StLAC allows anyone to join an event, provided they have the time and resources to permit.

ALL Solo II and Solo I events are open to the general public. Anyone can attend.

As ELeMental suggests, the HADA web site has a good event calendar that lists all of the popular events in s.w. Ontario. It's still very early in the season so not a lot of clubs have announced their schedule for this year but as soon as they are known, they will be published on the HADA web site.

To participate, you don't need to contact anyone per say. Just show up at the event.

You can however, contact the event organizer's to get more info like cost and registration time. For that info, check out the bottom of the Event Calendar page where club contact information is listed.
