I'm looking for a steering wheel quick release to bolt onto my momo steering wheel. If anyone tells me "oh they have those at CSC!" I will freakout out on you for not reading the whole post. I want it ready made to simply attach to the momo hub with no welding.
I can find them in the states, but I want a Canadian retailer if possible.
Yes I could just buy a quick release and make my own, but I rather not bother, since I would have to pay to have the parts machined and them it would be likely even more expensive.
This is the part I'm talking about:

or triple the price for the sparco unit:

I'm kind of in a hurry because I need a 2.5" spacer for my steering wheel in order to work with my new seat and this is convenient way of getting the spacer and making it easier to get out of the shell.

These guys have what you need, and Canadian ordering.

Says in their FAQ they sell quick release systems for Momo/Sparco as well and you can get lockable and fast-release models. I've been considering getting one of their combo packages.

Uck, I hate the Teckniq design. Besides I would still need a spacer. I actually NEED it to be 2.5" closer.

umm.. the quick release will move the wheel closer to your cockyguy body..
take a look at the diagram, hub mounts, then the snap off base, then the snap off ring
the mitsu photo you can guess how thick the quick connect is.
(looks at least 2 inches thick)
the only problem is.. it isn't close enough to your cockyguy mouth

Kensai carries OMP gear ... have you tried giving them a call? For spacers at least ...
Also perhaps Fourstar Motorsports would have something?

Second the notion of Mantis Racing in Oakville. I purchased one there this summer (late August actually), and it was in stock.
Much cheaper (though the same design) as some of the ones from the U.S.
Works well, and with the car, I'd have a tough time crawling out of it if I didn't have a removable steering wheel.

Mantis still hasn't returned my call. Do they ever actually answer the phone?
mantis sucks IMO, they are one of the worst shops i have EVER dealt with....

yeah.... CSC should have it.
Here's their website: www.cscracing.com
I THINK I saw that part on there a while back.... just look around a bit... It's a bit buried... but I think it's there... You just gotta look...

Marsh,
If you find something at CSC I could probably pick it up for you this week and bring it on Sunday to the Shootout.
