We've just processed about 40 new users going back about two weeks - anyone still waiting should write to forums at casc dot on dot ca and we'll sort those out too.

There's a three step process to registration

- user registers on the forum
- an e-mail is instantly sent to the regstrant's e-mail address containing a link to a web page the user must open in order to put their registration in the moderation queue
- moderator approves the requests in the moderation queue

Some people find that their spam blocking inadvertently blocks the e-mail from step 2. When that happens, we don't know you've registered.

Our requirement, as people who have registered will know from the e-mail that they receive is that the user either fill in some profile information or e-mail us if they wish to be more private before their registration will be moved out of the moderation queue. We processed about 100 pending registrations and of those roughly 60 were apparent spam or bot registrations. However, we may have made a mistake and deleted someone who was a legitimate registrant. If anyone is in that situation, please accept our apologies, re-register, and send us an e-mail so we get you set up.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks so much for finally allowing me access to the site. I've waited 2 months to get approved - I did everything specified to the tee...

I think if you want more membership and traffic on your site then you should take a look at this problem.

A friend has asked why he has not been approved. It has been quite a while since he applied. What should he now do?
