Now we need to find the results of that race to see who the winner was?

Robert,

This should be easy for someone to find I will check with my Dad (Ron Poth) who would have been a competetor andor ask another one of are longtime BEMC members.

By the way Ron is still envolved as a clerk and steward.

Hi Gary,

Tell me more about your dad's racing - what years and which car(s). I have some programs from the 68, 69 Sundown races, and the 68 & 69 Can Am races, and a few more. Always fun to look thru them and remember who was racing.

Great your dad is still involved.

Hi Robert,

I know with thise programs that you have he may have been an official but he was no longer racing. When he did race he raced mostly at club events in his Bugeye (I am sure I don't need to explain what that is haha) My dad raced up till 66 I think and then you know my brother came along in 67 so he stopped and started to help out in other ways.

Yes it great to have him still involved her also is a SCCA steward.

PS crossthread: Do you know where it was sold from or where it was bought?

Hi Mike,

I thought that trophy was referring to the winner of the over 2000 cc. SUPPORT race, not the overall winner of the GP?

I agree with Robert, but i may be wrong. i am looking into the trophy with my historians in BEMC. I also believe that the CMHF maybe able to assist as I know that Roy the BEMC historian has given them a lot of info from his records.

Robert you may or may not remember a important official from back the by the nome of George Moss, he was my god father and fo those who do not know he should be given a lot of the credit for getting Canada a GP race in 1967.

The entire article refers to over two litre and under two litre in the feature race. The three preliminaries were Formula Junior, Production Sports Car, and a Sedan race.
