Director
11-20-2009, 02:35 PM
At the CASC-OR AGM this past weekend, elections were held for Secretary, Race Director, Autoslalom Director and Vice President positions.
Greg Adamkowski has stayed on for another two years as Secretary,
Cindy Armstrong has stayed on as Race Director,
Andrew Ross has taken on the position of AutoSlalom Director.
Unfortunately the position of VP remains unfilled.
It is imperative that the position of Vice President be filled at the reconvening of the AGM in 4 weeks time (or on the specified date) so that the board can continue to move forward with the 2010 business plan and operations of CASC-OR.
For the purpose of clarification, here is the duties required of the vice president;
"Vice President
Fulfill the responsibilities of the President in his / her absence.
Be responsible for the co-ordination of Public Relations and Promotion for the Region.
There should be a committee with its own chairman to fulfill this function but the Vice president is responsible to take all reasonable effort to secure such a committee and to see that is operates.
Shall be responsible for the maintenance of a formal communications link with the member clubs and the motorsport community at large."
If any member club would like to nominate a candidate or if any member feels they would like to run for the position, please email the nominations committee at "nominations@casc.on.ca"
