I may be intrested in becoming one.

Come on people there must be a few of us ex marshals or even better ex drivers that could help in this area at the road races.

Judge of fact is extremely important and is usually missing from the weekend.

Yes the more the merrier. Sitting up on a hill, under an umberella sipping pina coladas (non acoholic of course) and watching racing BUT doing one of the most valuable jobs on the weekend. Yes BEMC needs them too so there's five weekends of relaxation. Let me know.

I'll let you know Dave but right know it looks like I maybe doing results at BEMC if my mom decides it will be too hard for her to come as for the BARC eventsif I can get there and have a place to sleep then yeah I will help you out anytime. It's a team now not a competetion like many years ago lol.

$39.95 small tent at Canadian Tire.

Oh and if anyone has the time we have the position even if it's a few hours in the morning at registration or lounging by the track as a judge of fact or around the track as an observer or the best is an hour of you time as an observer in pit lane as we are running enduros now.

As talked about at the expo, yes Pat you are more than welcome to join us when you can. I know the clubs would like to fill the Judge of Fact role first. It sounds more menacing than it is. NUT is such an extremely important job. Observers are important too but we really really need JoF's first. Sorry Barb we do need JoF's.

I have enticed Ms. Pat to work in the Scrutineering trailer for the Spring BEMC race. However, no idea what she's going to do after the BEMC weekend.

I realize this thread is almost a year old. I just found it today.

Some questions about being a Judge of Fact..

What are the qualifications? Before going into my qualifications, I would like to know what clubs are looking for to be a Judge of Fact.

Are you required to be in a certain area of the track? I move around during a weekend. At least at Mosport. If required I have no problem being in a particular area for specific races. Although I would prefer to not be in the same spot all day.

I am not free for every race weekend. Is that ok?

Dr. Smooth,

You would need to know what a jump start is if you are the judge of fact at the start finish line..may have to help decide on finishes if 2 cars are that close crossing the start finish but not really as much now as in the dark past before transponders lol.

There are also 2 other places for a judge of fact and that is for the blend lines at Pit on and pit out.

I would suggest you read in the rule book the exact job description.

As for Clubs as I am a member of BEMC i can say we are for sure, i think that BARC would be also perhaps DAC too but contact them directly to see.

From your posts on here I would think you are extremely qualified adn as for not being available every weekend any little bit helps

Thank you for the information. I'm going to look into this. Starting with the rulebook. I'm mostly familiar with the rulebook, but should definitely re-read it.
