Rear seats

Is removal of rear seats a legal mod in stock class Solo I?

Nope, the interior has to remain fully stock. In SS you can remove the backseat and you can even use some of your prep points to gut the interior futher under the 'Body and Trim' section fo the rulebook if lightening your car turns you on :)

i would leave your interior alone....from experiance it messes your car up ...ripping it all out and the 100lbs you save is not worth the hassle....

Having just looked over last year's rulebook in section 5.1.N - Authorized Modifications - Stock Category, it states that rear seat cushions and reaser seat back may be removed in Solo II. It then goes on to say that this rule is proposed for adoption in Solo 1 in 2001.

I do believe this rule was adopted so yes, you can remove your rear seats in stock class in 2001.

Que? Are you sure that rule was adopted Mr. C? I know the CCC's intention was to keep Stock classes at least if not more "stock" than it was last season. I'm very surprised to hear this rule change was adopted, but you've but at the Solo1 meetings, not me.

Rear seat can now be removed in Stock class. Ignore all previous posts by me, the apparently out-of-the-loop guy. When will I ever learn...
