Just looking for some info about the event this weekend. I haven't been to one of their events before, so all I really know is that it is at the Bronte GO Station. What time is registration, and how much?

Thanks guys.

Check wiredmotorsports.com (don't use Netscape).

If you have to ask how much, you can't afford it ;)

Get there early because the course takes a long while to walk, and you may have trouble remembering it. However, just like every other club, the layout is always a minor variation of the same theme.

Hopefully the rain stays away! I don't mind driving in the wet but getting a soaker really sucks.

Couple more questions for you guys. I've never been to an event at the Bronte GO Station, just wondering what kind of facilities they have - you know, places to eat, washrooms, etc.

I found the Corvette Club flyer and it listed rain dates. Do they run in the wet, or what? I'd hate to show up to find the event cancelled. I'd end up having to go to the car auction at the International Centre and might spend more than I wanted to for the day ;).

Thanks,

Todd

Very limited - 3 - 4 km to the west is a Tim Horton's and a Sunoco at Bronte just south of the QEW. About the same to the East at Third Line north of the QEW is a Petro Canada and an assortment of fast food places: Subway, Wendy's, etc. The actual GO facilities are locked so there are no facilities on-site per se. I've wondered what would happen if one of those lunch trucks that tour around construction sites were to show up ...

I really can't answer that other than to say that I've been to one CCC event this summer at the Bronte GO station where it rained during the event and they kept going. The only event they have canceled this year (to my knowledge) was the first event. That was on account of the mountains of snow piled around the lot, and the cancelation notice posted on this board was well enough in advance.

Car Auction? International Centre? When and where is that, and does one need any sort of special credentials to get in?

Checkout this link for the auction -

Toronto International Fall Classic Car Auction (http://www.rmauctions.com/events/tf03.cfm)

It's quite large with some amazing cars. Nothing special to get in. There is an admission fee (last year it was $15). Apparently Saturday afternoon is the prime time.

Thanks for the info about the Corvette event.
