I was bored so I decided to take a crack at designing a course for WOSCA's car park.

This is what I came up with.

Hmm... Guess playing "Racing Destruction Set" on the Commie-64 as a kid religously doesn't qualify one to design good autocross tracks.
Maybe if someone robbed a construction site, we could get enough cones to make this course. :D

I am rather proud of the hexagon gate that you go through four times in three different directions though... :p

LOL I just spent the last couple of hours doing the same thing :)

I wonder how many people would get a time in after 5 runs!

Can we say DNF :D

The sad thing is the 2nd solo-2 I ever did (a msco event) was at least that confusing and probably longer. We got 3 runs. My third was my only clean one.

the biggest problem is that you overlap a path 6 times.

Looks like fun... just make sure to bring a navigator.

We had an event here that was even more confusing than that this summer. There was one gate you went through in different directions 6 times, 4 of them in one direction and depending on which 'lap' through the gate you went you took a different following gate. Holy DNF city.

It actually spawned a few arguments here because people sometimes lose sight of the fact that a course should be setup as a challenge to your driving skill, not a memory/navigational exercise.

However, if you make the map public knowledge well in advance, then maybe, just maybe...it may just be one hell of an enjoyable event.

This is true, course maps seem to mysitfy people here. In my two years of Soloing here I've seen a course map in advance once. :)
