So what the hell is this?? F1 Qualifying was blacked out on Speed this morning when NO OTHER CHANNEL had the same broadcast! Shouldn't TSN be required to actually OFFER a broadcast before they have the right to a blackout?

Hmmmm, SpeedHD was blacked out in Kingston (Cogeco), but SpeedSD was not. TSN did broadcast Qualifying here at 5:55 - 7:00 am. And no post quali interviews on TSN either. Its the same as last year for me. Now if I could just find a way to overlay the sound feed from Speed over the video from TSN in real time, I would be set. Brundle and Legard suck the life out of the broadcast, IMHO. :(

Totally agree, the biased ITV coverage is brutal. They sure shut up when Jenson ended up 8th in qually. About where he belongs in the real world. The only reason he was last years champion was because they we're ahead from an engineering standpoint for the first third of the season.
Screw you TSN! I want my Matchett!

TSN showed f1 qualifying at 9am tape delayed on TSN2.... it's BS
the explanation i was given last year when it was brought up was that TSN owns the rights to all F1 in Canada - they've decided to enforce their right to do so and will block all live qualifying and races live on speed - but they wont block the replays later on in the day and they wont block friday practice
if you're mad you need to talk to TSN - Rogers, Bell and Cogeco, Shaw, ect. have no choice but to do what their told by the broadcasters and the crtc

I watched the Saturday practice on Justin TV - commentary was in German which is probably better than having to listen to Brundle and that idiot.
Not sure if the qualifying was on later but I expect it would have been.
In any event, the internet feeds are better than the cable television versions IMO.

The English broadcast is from BBC, no longer ITV.
The saddest part is that Canadian rights holder does not put any of its own effort in TV production, commentary. ("Brundle must be good enough for us"?)
TSN showed quali live. The Speed broadcast was blacked out, but the evening repeat was not.
I expect that the Speed repeated race coverage will be available too, today.
With some patience you can get both broadcasts.
