As anyone that attended the Competition Corvette Club Autoslalom on Oct 26th already knows, it was pouring rain at the Bronte GO Station last Sunday morning so rather than setting up and running in the rain the club members elected to use our last remaining raindate. (...weren't into seeing an AWD Talon set FTD anyway... at least not without some competition!)

We hope to see those that need one more fix this season come out to our final event of the 2003 season this Sunday, Nov 2nd. The weather is bound to be better then it was last Sunday!

Registration: 9 to 10 am
Drivers' Meeting: 10 am
First Run: approx. 10:30am
Location: Bronte GO Station, Oakville
Directions: QEW to 3rd Line South and follow the GO Station signs.

See you there,
Eric J.

Cool! I couldn't make it last Sunday and thought it was all over for this year. The motorsport gods must be in a good mood!:) Gonna try to be there if I can.

Well, it's 8:06 am on Nov 2nd, and I'm going to take a chance and head out to COMP. I hope they don't cancel again or else I'm never going back.

What happens if it rains on the rain date?

Aw that's an easy question. They cancel!

But seriously, today was much worse than last weekend. The highways weren't draining well, visibility was poor, and I'm sure not too many people would have come anyway.

On the bright side, they were giving away enough swag that was worth more than the $35 entry fee. I feel I need to kiss and make up with my new sponsor!:D

So next time COMP do something that doesn't sit well with me, I'm going to count to ten, wear my gifts of bribery, and let it slide;)

It was a nice gesture to hand out some gear to the few who braved the rain in the hope that an autocross would happen.
