I used my GoPro HD on a recent trip to Las Vegas and had a chance to use them in some supercars. The origina quality of the videos is 1080p HD and look fantastic. They have to be greatly scaled back for upload to YOUTUBE. We still have these on sale at www.fasttoys.ca for $ 300.00

A friend and I had the opportunity to drive two supercars we both dreamed of in Las Vegas on their motor speedway. The video below is for the Lamborghini Gallardo.

The Lambo was a stunning looking car in person and very luxurious inside. You could honestly drive this car every day. The switches inside were machined, leather was luxurious and ride quality was excellent. You could stare at this car all day and not get bored of it. It looks that good

We were forced to drive with all the electronic nannies engaged but the Lambo still allowed a little sideways action before the traction control brought it back in. The car was easy to drive and understeered at the limit. You could feel the weight of the car but it went were you pointed it and had the traction to pull around the corners and power down the straight. The driving instructor called it an italian musclecar because that is how it behaved.

I drove the Orange one and my friend was in the Green one.

Listen to this glorious noises! Its more mechanical than the Ferrari. You can gear the timing chains and gears in the cabin as the revs build.

The 2nd car we drove was the Ferrari F430. This is my dream car. Every automotive journalist raves about this car and claims it in the pinnacle for performance. After the heavy lambo, I expected the Ferrari to "dance" on the race track.

On the first lap, I took it easy to get used to the car. You could definitely place it where you wanted it and turn in was better than the heavier Lambo. 2nd lap down the straight, I floor the thing waiting to hear the banshee wail everyone talks about. Wait, the electronic nanies have pulled back the reigns and the car is accelerating slower than my Subaru as my foot digs through the carpet on the gas pedal. The car is accelerating hard but feels like it is missing 100 HP too!. I go to hit the paddle shifter to drop down a gear and the Ferrari nannies ignore it all together. I very quickly realize that the electronics nanny controls in this car are so intrusive they take all the fun out of the car. You cannot get any wheel spin, you cannot go wide open throttle and you most certainly cannot get the car sideways. This stud isn't being allowed to run at all. If you cold lock these nannies on, you could lend the car to a 16 year old and he would get in less trouble than a Mustang.

As I get familiar with the car, I can accelerate more briskly than before but not too much or the traction control cuts off my intentions.

The car still sounds great but not as loud as I was hoping. The wail is there but subdued. It almost seems the exhaust valve is not opening to bypass the muffler.

There is quite a bit of body roll in the corners which I was not expecting. The car does what you want but the electronic nannies are preventing all the real fun from happening.

My brief session ends and I walk way disappointed and feel like I just found out Santa Claus isn't real.

Next to the Lambo, the Ferrari looks like the more reserved older sister.

Perhaps the car is MUCH better with the nannies disengaged but on this day, the Lambo ruled.

Listen to the glorious wail and decide for yourself.

I felt both cars were detuned with the traction control nannies engaged. They felt like they were missing 100 HP. Still fun but lacking in the experience. However, if i had to pick from the two based solely on my experience, the Lambo would be the one to buy.

LOL, thanks for the real world advice. Looks like a lot of fun. ...but probably more fun if the Lambo or Ferrari rep didn't have to ride along so you can turn off traction control :D
